Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: Easy to use and neatly sewed in a short period of time as compare to normal hand sewing.
Cons: Nil
Other: Good for travel and emergency use only. If wanted to have a strong stitches, it better to use your own hand..Overall worth the money.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: Very portable, perfect for travel. Very useful, especially for emergencies. Very good price.
Cons: The thread that comes with it is pretty weak.
The packaging was not too great, the parts got separated and I had to figure out how to reassemble it.
Other: For less than 5 bucks, it's is a great deal. Very handy for traveling!
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: -Came threaded and ready to go
-Works great
-Small
-Seems pretty reliable so far
-The stitch looks decent
Cons: -The thread it comes with is junk
-It says "spring come" on the side
-It is a little difficult to thread, but no worse than a full size sewing machine
-The stitch will unravel if the ends are not tied well
Other: Sewing, as a concept, is easy to grasp. Unfortunately it isn't so easy to do well. This tool makes it easy to fix torn seams, so I don't have to wait a month for my girlfriend to do it. The quality is better than I expected, and its so cheap I might order another one to keep in my glove box. If you wear a uniform, having one of these preloaded with the right color thread could prevent a lot of trips to the seamstress.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: - Small
- It comes ready to be used
- Seemed to work well on the first few minutes
- Good price
Cons: - The internal mechanism broke the second time I tried to use it. The needle was hitting a plastic moving part inside it, and broke it. :(
- Instructions on the box are really hard to understand. It is written in poor english, and the drawings are impossible to understand because they are too small, so you can't see the details
Other: Too fragile. Maybe your experience will be better. But I don't recommend it.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: It's the smallest sewing machine I ever saw. It actually works, and it makes a decent stitch. The frame feels solid. It can fit either a full-size or half-size bobbin of thread. It comes pre-threaded. It's surprisingly sophisticated, with adjustable tension(if your stitches aren't tight enough, tighten the spring) and even a foot that moves the material.
Cons: The instructions won't do you much good no matter what language you read since the diagrams are sketchy, so look at its threading very carefully before you ever undo it. The complicated mechanism in the top half that loops thread and moves the foot is the bit that will probably wear out first.
Other: This machine is no joke, it makes a real stitch and is more sophisticated than it looks. People who've used sewing machines before might find it familiar.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: - Small size - Easy to use if you know how to use a big machine (not too hard to figure out from the Engrish instructions otherwise with help from the pictures)
Cons: - No good way to start or end stitches - Your hand will get tired from the squeeze action
Other: Good for light jobs, such as hemming pants and seams. Wouldn't recommend denim, curtains, heavy linens.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: worked out of the box. Has a foot that feeds the material. pre-threaded. Easy to push down, didn't feel like it was going to break
Cons: The plastic bottom came off the fist time but went on easily. advancing the bottom thread was difficult to cut. and if you pulled the bottom it unthreaded all you just did, but just be awaare
Other: get it if you sew just a little bit and need it on the go.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: -Ready to sewing
-Looks nice
-Its portable you can use it while traveling
-If you understand how its work its easy too use I think
Cons: -Hard to use
-Hard to start and finish sewing whenever you want
-Hard to prepare to start sewing
Other: It can be a good gift for everyone who doesnt know sewing.
But dont play it too much use it when you need
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: It looks like something usefull to have at home.
It also looks kinda cute.
Cons: Honestly, I could´nt use it. My mom had one of these machines at home since before i was born, and we could´nt make it work. So, we thought it was broken. But then, this one has the same problem, since the stich is not double it comes off alone.
The build quality is not very nice, it looks cute, but it opens up if u press it hard.
Other: Maybe I just can´t use it, but at home we haven´t understood how to make it work. So it´s been useless! If it did work, though, it´d be great! So if anyone knows how to, id ask u please to help me understand!!
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: Do the job and it's very easy to use, if you understand how to use it.
Good for emergency, a nice gift for travelers.
Cons: First of all it's really hard to "stop it", ok if you don't press it again the machine sure will do not sew no more but you need needle and thread to finish the job.
After some use my hand is really stressed...
I sure will not use it for long sewings, better buy a professional sewing machine.
Other: Not bad, not good... It's a simply and portable sewing machine, perfect if you are not at home and need to become a little seamstress in seconds, not so perfect if you need to repair an entire dress.
