Handy 8x21 Black Binoculars Rubber Fold-down Eyecups (383FT/1000YDS)

Pros: This 8x21 binoculars function as stated. Small and handy to carry around attached to a belt (bino pouch bag has belt slot) or in a lady's handbag or purse.The length of the body is about 90mm, diameter of lens 29mm,It comes with a string fixed to the the binoculars body to hang around one's neck. Zoom distance up to 1000yards. The front lens are coated tint of orange. It has adjustable focus using center focus wheel and right eye focus wheel. Body made of hard plastic (very hard indeed), both ends has rubber cover, centre piece made of metal( look like aluminium) The package come with a pouch bag which can attached to a waist belt, a cleaning cloth (rough material though) and instruction manual in English, Italian and German etc. Useful for nature watch, stadium scoreboard, children's concert, auditors of ISO/EHS/OHSAS and other uses by your imagination. Price is reasonable for this type of size and specification. Kids will love them, at least mine do. May need to buy another one for myself.

Cons: The overall size seems a bit small (to me). If your hand shakes or with slight movement the view is blurred. Advise to rest or lean hand on something solid to stablise view. The cleaning cloth is very poor quality but not a problem for me. There isn't much bad stuff about this product, maybe I got a good unit. Shipping took quite a long time (17 days from China to Singapore), guess could be due to the Christmas peak season. Ordered on 16 Dec '08, shipped out 23 Dec '08, rec'd goods on 02 Jan '09. BTW, I order other stuff and all came together in the package.

Pros: - It's perfect - It's little - Very good price - Comes with his ba - The zoom is enough for my,I expect less zoom. - Only 153g (0,3lb ; 5,39oz) I'm so happy.

Cons: Maybe the smell of the plastic the first times you use it is a little uncorfotable but it's a veryt little thing, I'm very happy with the binoculars!

Other: I'm very happy with the purchase! I think that this binoculars are a great option for the people who don't want to spend a lot of money.

Pros: Very happy with this purchase. I am planning on taking these binoculars travelling. Will be able to throw these into my backpack without even noticing I am carrying them around. Pleasently suprised by the zoom capability which should be good for scenery and observation decks etc on the trip.

Cons: Slight blue-ish tinge (not sure if this is normal)?

Other: So cheap, so small and effective. No reason not to get these if you are not wanting them for anything too serious.

Pros: Ive bought some binoculars to have in my car, larger ones but not as good as these, for 5 times the price and i thought it was cheap until i got here.

Cons: None!

Other: Bottom line is if youre searching for binoculars, get these. You can go to a shop and give 10 times what you pay for these and you would still want to use this pair.

Pros: small, but not 'fiddly' for adult male
build quality seems very good (no parallax error that I could detect)
low-medium magnification very good for multiple purpose/general use. Not weak, but not too powerful to hand-hold steadily.

Cons: Out of the package, there is a little 'new plastic' aroma.
The diopter adjustment was 'stuck' at initial try. But operates smoothly now. I think the rubber/plastic was just adhered a little from shelf-time.
Image seems very slightly darker than expected.

Other: These were purchased for an invalid friend to use while enjoying sitting on her front porch. I will probably buy 2-3 more for myself and gifts to others.

Pros: -Very small, this is good because it does fit anywhere.
-Great range for such a small binoculars.
-Comes with a very usefull case, it keeps your binoculars clean.
-The focusing wheel is very smooth after some use.
-The rubber "skin" is very useful too, considering that it gives you a better grip and makes the binoculars more stylish.

Cons: -The cleaning flannel is not soft, I i'm not going to use it on my binoculars' lenses.
The focus on the lens(not the one in the middle of the binoculars [there are two]) is not so much visible, and it was a bit "adhered" to the rubber, but with some strenght now it rotates smoothly too.

Other: Useful binoculars, small and powerfull.

Pros: - Compact and lightweight
- Zoom is not bad at all
- Comes with carrying case, carrying case has belt harness.
- Feels well built, easy to grip
- Focus knob is lubricated, but still stiff enough to maintain position
- Collapsible/foldable. Very compact when collapsed.

Cons: - Upon close inspection, cosmetic impurities can be found, but nobody looks at the body of binoculars, everybody always only looks through lenses.
- Neck strap is not detachable. If you don't want it, only option is to cut it off and have two fluffy nubbins.
- Slight bluish tinge; not really a large concern for me, but could be for some.

Other: Useful binoculars for average purposes, sight-seeing and so on. Lightweight and compact, so convenient to take on hikes, or mountain climbing etc, or looking out your apartment window at the streets! It takes a bit of fiddling to get used to it, but the same applies to any new toy.

Pros: Wow these binoculars are way better than I expected. Before ordering these binucolars, I first ordered a mail order $250 spotting scope and these simple binoculars are much better quality than that spotting scope 20 times the price and 20 times the size.

Cons: What I love about these binoculars is that one eyepiece is first independently adjustable, after which they both work in tandem. However on my pari, that one eyepiece was stuck, so I needed to really turn it with all my strength (and I work out) to get it to loosen up. After that it was smooth sailing, but yes initially it was stuck (so be ready to use some force or ask someone to help you to loosen it).

Other: If you're looking for a portable set of good quality binoculars, these are the ones you're looking for.

Pros: Hey, these are cheap. They're equivalent to what you'd pay five times as much in the shops. They're compact and light. And you don't feel so bad lending them to children to use...

Cons: They're not as bright as they could be. I've seen a lot better, but then again I've seen absolutely dreadful as well.

Other: You might get a better pair, you might get a worse pair. For ten dollars, you can afford the risk. My set were pretty good.

Pros: It's SO inexpensive! It does have modest magnification, and a fairly clear and bright picture. The focusing works fair enough. It's a decent build quality, and comes with a decent case.

Cons: A little crossed, but still usable. Although decent, the build quality won't win any awards. The lanyard is string. It works, but... It's string. Not 8x magnification, but somewhere between 5x and 8x (which isn't necessarily bad, but something to keep in mind when purchasing).

Other: A good value on decent-quality compact binoculars. At this price, you can buy several of them, and stash them around. They're not great, but they're good - and certainly better than the naked eye.
