Genuine HAKKO FX-888 70W Soldering Station (AC 220V)

Pros: deisgn and hakko. right, nothing more. ah, materials.

Cons: Build quality. Just awful. Plug for soldering iron was not fixed. Fixing broken key gauge or even glued to the base. It's more like carelessness. Soldering iron tube is offset from the center. And Finally! The soldering station just does not work. After several attempts to revive her, found not soldered wire under the heat shrink. Just terrible negligence. Ie it never on for verification. Something had to finalize a rasp.

Other: If the build quality was without flaws, good station as secondary soldering iron, but my copy was just a non-functional.

Pros: Price Quality Ergonomics Design

Cons: Actually no cons in my case... smal thing is resin pads are lost after disassembling an item because of poor glue layer :) But if you will not disassemble it tey'll live.

Other: It works for me flawlessly for about 6 months (or even more, don't remember). What else do you need? Temperature was calibrated 1 time by Fluke multimeter and it's still ok.

Pros: An affordable temperature controlled iron. I checked the tip temperature and had to adjust it for an offset, but the control is very good once adjusted. Heat up time is very fast. The iron holder has a space for cleaning wire and a sponge which is very convenient.

Cons: The iron could sit better in the holder - it is ok but not great. There was a rubber foot missing from the holder - not a big problem. The instruction sheet only comes in Chinese, but I was able to find an english version on the internet.

Other: A good iron for a reasonable price
