Pros: - Works as advertized. - Very easy to work with. - Build quality is amazing. - Excellent soldering. - Great price/quality.
Cons: - The only thing worth mentioning is that the sensor distance may or may not be 4,5 meters. The standard Arduino 'Ping' program stops at about 2,5 meters, and then displays a 3,6xx value. But then again, this could very well be the software.
Other: When using the standard 'Ping' program form Arduino, make sure to add a second pin to recieve the pulse. The standard program uses the same pin to send and recieve the pulse, but this product has two pins for these functions. Just add a pin for the echo, and make it recieve on this pin. After this, it'll work right out of the box.

Pros: Build quality is acceptable - works nicely - measurements are repeatable. Trig pin has pull-up resistor to +5V, and Echo pin is push-pull, so i recommend using level conversion when interfacing to e.g 3.3V FPGA (Sensor did not work well with 3.3 supply voltage)
Cons: No documentation, but it is easy to reverse engineer what is to be done. 10µs pulse did give unreliable results, use 100µs pulse at least. This unit works fine up to 2.2 meters. Sometimes echoes or something makes it show 4+ meters.
Other: Price/Function ratio is good, almost excellent.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: it is very easy to use, once u undestand the inner working, it measures accurate distances far or close, tested with 3 meters to 1cm and it works great.
Cons: The thing is that is not very good when there is no flat wall to measure, for example it you point it to a place where there is stuff, like plants or a refrigerator or a tv, useless numbers will come out.
Other: Very good for fun, but i wouldt trust my life to this device.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: The sensor measures distances between 1 cm and 3 meters, with the software I created. It worked better than the sensor that was purchased at a higher price.
Cons: No documentation. An instruction manual is missing. But after several hours of searching the Internet, I discovered how to use.
Other: Made with good stuff and very cheap. Therefore, I recommend to everyone.

Pros: HC-SR04 has stable performance and high ranging accuracy make it a popular module in electronic market, compared to the Shap IR ranging modules, HC-SR04 is more inexpensive than it, but it has the same ranging accuracy and longer ranging distance (2cm to 50cm). It is easy to use with the Arduino and other boards. The module automatically sends 40kHz signal and detect wheather is a pulse signal back. If the signal back, through high level, time of high output IO duration is the time from sending ultrasonic to returning.
Cons: No cons.
Other: Highly recommended.

Pros: I plugged the device into a breadboard and connected it to my Arduino, loaded an example pde file and a library I found on Internet, and it just worked without any problems. The accuracy is well within limits (it is sound after all).
Cons: The size of the device is a bit large, but that might also be an advantage in DIY projects.
Other: The device is exactly what you would expect and it works almost out of the box. It makes a great DIY meter. The price is very good for a device lite this. I will use it in a couple of projects in the near future.

Pros: Very easy to use and deploy in a solution with arduino boards. Only need to download the Ultrasonic HC-SR04 library for Arduino IDE from https://github.com/elrodri/Ultrasonic-HC-SR04 and learn how to use in the page http://www.ardublog.com/library-for-arduino-ultrasonic-ranging-hc-sr04 or http://arduino.cc/forum/index.php/topic,115077.0.html Very easy to use.
Cons: No cons, only the range is from 2 centimetres to 51 centimeters.
Other: Connect the pins is very easy. Vcc to 5V, GND to GND, echo to PIN number 2 and trigger to PIN number 3. The library says this.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: Price, ease of use. Works as supposed.
Cons: Shipping delay - 51 day and no information from DX regarding possible waiting time and reasons. Also packaging was damaged - luckily contents of all order survived. No technical information.
Other: Use it if you need cheep range finding. Don't expect accuracy grater than 10mm and if you want higher range than 2 meters try to play with "pulseIn(pin, value, timeout) " timeout value (find info on arduino.cc).
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: best price ever seen for such module. good finition level, compact and easy to use. A 3 meters measurement is achieved with good accuracy.
Cons: no datasheet delivered but i have bought it knowing that. With help coming from others users or after some researches on the web, it's not so hard to understand how to implement it in your own robotic project.
Other: Go ... buy some and have a try ! it's funny...
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: Great range! Great Price! and even Great Quality! I didn't face any problem using it. The range is absolutely fabulous, I didn't except it to be that good compared to it's price.
Cons: Nothing I guess! It worked just fine. No cons at all! DX keeps impressing me with the low prices and great quality they have :)
Other: I advise anyone interested in buying an Ultrasonic sensor to get this one.
