HDMI to Component Video + Stereo Audio Converter

Pros: Works great when you have a TV that does not have a HDMI connection. My new Cable receiver only has a HDMI connector, and my TV did not. So I bought this converter. At first I thought it was over priced but after all worth every penny. Does not have any problems with HDCP. Housing made of aluminum very robust. Connections look and feel fine.

Cons: Power supply not made of the best quality, but does its work and til now no problems with it.

Other: Great converter for HDMI. Gives you component video in 1080i, with analogue audio.

Pros: Take out of the box, connect and enjoy! I've connected TVIX media player to an "old" (only 2005, thank to HDCP it is old) HiEnd Crystal View 50'' plasma screen. Picture quality is superb. Skin tone is a little reddish-pinkish, not sure if this gadget was a cause. Will try with different component cable of better quality. Device itself looks very robust, mates tightly.

Cons: Couldn't find this gadget on electronics streetmarkets, so the price is reasonable. Doesn't support 1080p, but my plasma neither.

Other: Great HDCP stripper. However, signal goes through extra D->A and A->D conversion, which may slightly influence the picture quality on big screens.

Pros: Works great, as expected, with my Apple TV 2nd generation (720p). No HDCP issues occurred.

Cons: PAY ATTENTION: This device DOES NOT work with the 3rd generation Apple TV. Since the 2nd and 3rd generation devices look the same - well check to see you have the 2nd gen. one before you purchase this device. (if you bought the device after March 7, 2012 - you probably have the 3rd generation)

Other: Great device, but not compatible with the 3rd generation of the Apple TV, only with the 2nd generation (sold before March 7, 2012).

Pros: + Simple device (just HDMI in, Component out, and power) to turn your old TV into a smart TV. + Does not downscale or upscale, just pure conversion from HDMI to Component. + About as small of a device as you can possible make considering the amount of ports used by Component connection.

Cons: + Only power cable included.

Other: The device does what it says - Nothing more, nothing less.
