High Power 800mW 802.11g 54Mbps USB 2.0 WiFi Wireless Network Dongle

Pros: This Wireless Network Dongle is very cheap and good, has very strong power. Chipset is RTL8187. I open this and found the board and chips inside are the same as GSKY except the logo on board. I think this is OEM or well made knockoff. comes with 12cm bracktrack 3 cd and 8cm driver & manual cd. of course BT3,4 capable.

Cons: I don't know antennae is 6dBi. I exchanged it for another one. I don't know this has 800mW power. What is "10G" on the product?

Other: cheap and powerful dongle.

Pros: This unit is priced decently for what it does. The outer case looks exactly like sku.27541. The chipset used is the Realtek rtl8187l and rtl 8225. There is a heatsink on the 8187 to help dissipate heat. The device will also run alfa awus036h software and power correction driver without any issues.

Cons: There is no wireless N as indicated on the box. There's no way to measure actual power output. Even though the signal and quality is much higher than non-high-power units, the link speed is still dreadfully slow (~15kb/s).

Other: This is a cheap adapter but the link quality is not as good as it may seem. It's pretty cheap for what it is and can run generic Realtek software or the alfa software. A reasonable facsimile if you can't afford a real Alfa high-powered adapter.

Pros: + Reasonable price. + Really high-power (sees much more networks that built-in Wi-Fi of my MSI VR600 notebook). + Comes with an USB cable, a small driver CD and a boot-CD with BackTrack3 Linux with special utilities (good if you prefer to use Windows and don't want to have problems with installing Linux).

Cons: - There is a place for a Faraday cage at the RF part of the PCB but it is NOT mounted. - It becomes VERY HOT during the operation. I had to open it and I saw that chip RTL8187L has a heatsink but it is sticked AWFULLY!!! I had to remove it, clean a chip surface and a heatsink surface and install a heatsink using KPT-8 (Russian thermal grease for military electronics). - Documentation only in Chinese, no documentation in English or in Russian.

Other: Good for wardriving and (may be) for long-distance Wi-Fi links (with directional antenna!) but requires applying hands.

Pros: It has a lot of quality in all aspects, has very good coverage, I get maximum signal from my AP and Backtrack 3 detects more than 100 BP, very Powerfull compared with others of my adapters. Compatible with Windows 7 alls versions of 32-bits and 64-bits.

Cons: No cons!! As it works perfectly and has a great quality / price. Very good product!

Other: Quality / price is to give it a 10 out of 10! Good work DX! I recommend your purchase!

Pros: Very good reception, considering it works on wireless g, it has 70%signal and quality in a distance of 70m through a stone wall of 60cm thickness. (I have used another antenna of 11dBi) Very good quality. The antenna is detachable so you can use any antenna you like

Cons: The configuration program freezes sometimes but it works ok It doesn't support wireless n.

Other: A very good product, you should definitly buy it. It is the cheapest solution for a good signal quality instead.

Pros: It has a very good reception range. I used it to connect to a wireless network, 70meters away, through a stone wall. It had 70% signal and the internet was working perfectly. The installation is very easy and it works without any problems. The antenna is detachable so I used another stronger antenna of 11dBi to get the signal.

Cons: The software is a little sticky. It works very well but sometimes when you want to enter the settings it freezes and you have to wait some minutes to unfreeze.

Other: A very good product. Works exactly as it says and you will be very happy if you buy it.
