What is Bulk Rate? BulkRate is a semi-wholesale system with items priced separately from retail. When you use bulk rates, a flat $1.70 registered air mail fee will automatically be added to your cart to ensure delivery of package. While BulkRate's intention is to offer cheaper prices when you buy in bulk, because it is priced separately it on occassions show a higher than retail price. That's why we ask you to enter BULKRATE as a coupon code to manually activate the rates. You can always opt not to use the bulk rates. If you are looking for wholesale prices please feel free to contact us.

Pros: very good build quality easy to use (plug and play on windows 7, don't know about ubuntu or macos) you don't even need the power adapter to let it work for low data transfer (only if you need high speed data transfer you need extra power) you can charge smartphones, ipods... trough this usb hub
Cons: usb ports at the back are a little difficult to use except for that a very good product
Other: very good product
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: Discrete appearance. Price.
Cons: I've had two units. One, I thought, was DOA. The next, though, has the same problem: When I hook up my iPod and BlackBerry, a BlackBerry alert pops up and says the hub doesn't have enough current to charge the device. So I checked the power adapter that came with the hub with my multimeter. Although the adapter claims to output 1 Amp, my multimeter only read 0.43 amps.
Other: Deal Extreme has other powered USB hubs that work better, although they don't look as nice. Try one of those instead.

Pros: This hub is quite impressive, works without the AC adapter perfectly, is very fast and i didn't have any problem with any device. And with the AC adapter you can plug big energy demandant devices such as external hd enclosures. It is strong and light, the contacts are very tight. And comes with a good USB cable. Great deal!
Cons: I didn't find any con. Maybe the price, but remembering that is a good quality product, it's ok.
Other: It is smaller than it looks like in the pictures. Have in your mind that you are buying a good quality product.

Pros: Good looking design. Works with PCs and Macs. Has lots of ports. It uses USB 2.0 so it works very fast. Been using it for about a year now and it still works great.
Cons: Although it is powered, one of my USB-powered external hard drives did not work with it. But since I freed up all the plugs on the computer with the hub, I was able to plug it in directly.
Other: This hub was a very worthwhile purchase. It functions very well. I would recommend it to anyone who needs a USB 2.0 hub.

Pros: I bought some of these for a special setup involving USB Over Ethernet.
I have multiple 100 to 150 foot long runs of ethernet going from the servers to a control room.
each one has a usb<->ethernet converter at the ends;
I am able to power devices at the end of the 150 foot run without even using the power adaptor for this hub;
it's a good hub.
Cons: could be a little cheaper; but then again this is one of the better things coming from china
Other: I will buy more if i need to do any more remote controlling of servers and other magical adventures in networking land.

Pros: Cheaper than buy from local shop here!! also work with Windows, Linux, Android phone and also work with my Android TV Box (MK802) with out plugin AC Power (For low power USB eg. wireless mouse/keyboard, Flashdrive, card-reader) and when use with AC Adapter i'm able to plug external HDD to my Android Phone and my Android powered TV-Box!!!
Cons: only build quality of the USB port but its still useable.
Other: buy one if you looking for small and cheep unpower/powered USB hub all in one for your laptop, smartphone or TV Set-Top-Box that support USB OTG
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: More than enough USB ports Looks and feels good Solid construction Accepts external 5 V power All necessary accessories are included (except for european power plug)
Cons: Practically none that I can think of.
Other: I don't believe there is any better externally powered USB hub out there for this price.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: Very good build quality easy to use (plug and play on Windows 7 and Ubuntu, tested on both operating systems) Depending on your need, you do not even need the power adapter to make it work for data transfer low (only if you need high speed data transfer you need extra energy)
Cons: The USB ports are qe on the back are a little difficult to use, but this detail does not reach very disturbing
Other: Very good product. You can too charge smartphones, ipods... through this usb hub

Pros: - It works! - Cheap - Very good quality case - Very good quality stand - USB Hub can be use as regular or with stand(looks great and stylish) - Works GREAT with Raspberry PI!
Cons: - American connector for the AC power (I used an adapter) - A little tricky to us the extra ac power(only tested with raspberry pi)
Other: I bought it to use a hard disk, wifi usb dongle, keyboard and mouse with the raspberry pi. And it worked perfectly! I was worried about the hard drive, but it powered it perfectly. THe only thing, is if you powered on the USB HUB and then connect the raspberry pi by the included USB cable, it powers on the RPI. But by the USB ports in the RPI. This is not recommended as it would not recognize the USB HUB as a hub, but as power source. First power on the RPI via the micro USB power source, and then connect the powered USB HUB and it would work great!
