What is Bulk Rate? BulkRate is a semi-wholesale system with items priced separately from retail. When you use bulk rates, a flat $1.70 registered air mail fee will automatically be added to your cart to ensure delivery of package. While BulkRate's intention is to offer cheaper prices when you buy in bulk, because it is priced separately it on occassions show a higher than retail price. That's why we ask you to enter BULKRATE as a coupon code to manually activate the rates. You can always opt not to use the bulk rates. If you are looking for wholesale prices please feel free to contact us.

Pros: =================================== - Heat resistant - Strong Tape - Sticky that holds even when heated ===================================
Cons: - Colour is a pale yellow orange, and dosnt look the nicest in the functions i use it for.
Other: Great heat resistant tape at a good price.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: -Huge thing of tape
-Amazing quality
-Nicely packaged (well the tape itself I mean :P)
-Really thin (in a good way...like a chick :P)
-Really strong
-It's Kapton tape!
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kapton
Cons: -Um that I didn't have it when I built my computer :P
-Note: I'm not sure if its electrically conductive. I would use electrical tape just in case it can carry a slight charge.
Other: If you are building anything or just want to be cool and brag about your amazing tape buy it!
*I got 3 sizes. I used the small sized one for some mod-chips*

Pros: This is the widest kapton tape which DX sells. It is excellent for insulating all sorts of stuff, and can even serve as a heatsink isolator for power transistors. It's very tough and can take a lot of abuse before breaking. And naturally it's very heat resistant, so it's perfect for use as a masking tape for soldering.
Cons: The adhesive isn't very sticky. If you get finger oils on it, it loses it's stickyness quickly.
Other: This stuff is double the price anywhere else! Thanks DX for such a terrific bargain!

Pros: Very good for my needs. I have used it to seal the gaps around the shroud/heatsinks in my Xbox 360. Normal tape can't take the heat but this can. It's very thin so even if it doesn't look to be very much on the roll, in reality it is a lot of tape.
Cons: The adhesive isn't the best, it doesn't stick very good, still enough but could be better I guess. You have to be careful not to touch it with your fingers or it looses most of it's adhesion .
Other: Good tape with many uses (even though I don't have many I can think of several). It's a lot of tape on the roll so it's good value.

Pros: Fantastic product to keep around the workshop. You can use this stuff for solder masking if you like because of the temperature rating it can handle the heat distributed from your soldering iron. I also use it to wrap up my Lipo Battery cells after ive made my own packs i just wind some tape between connections to stop any sparks flying
Cons: No cons for this product, the price could perhaps be a tad lower but i'm happy with what i paid for it and would purchase it again. If it were a bit stickier that would be an advantage also.
Other: If you need thermal resistant tape then buy this.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: This roll goes on forever, I have used about 3 or 4 meters of the stuff and haven't noticed a change in the thickness of the roll. It's kapton so it is highly thermally and electrically insulative (including protection against corona discharge) and provides a smooth surface to print on if using a 3d printer for ABS printing. I think it is also chemically resilient as well (can handle acidic environments), but this is just off the top of my head.
Cons: None. Yhough some may find that the adhesive is lacking. If your using it for it's adhesive properties, your doing it wrong.
Other: If you understand what kapton is and how to use it, you will have no problems.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: Tape is perfeclty made. Surface finish is very good and glue is also very good. Could stand high heat for a lot of time without damage. Ultra usefull when soldering or doing smd reflow or drag soldering to mask the unwanted pads.
Cons: None. it's perfect as it is.
Other: I wish DX could sell a kit of different tape width. It will be fantastic to have different types at the same time.
