Holux Car GPS Bluetooth Receiver (M-1000B)

Pros: Great price Easy operation very small! good sensitivity (within a few metres)

Cons: Slightly poor build quality. The plastic is fairly flimsy, On/off switch is a bit loose. This shouldn't be a problem though and to be honest, for that price, it's not like I expected a solid alloy case or anything.

Pros: small. fix in 10-20 seconds. works great with my nokia n73 and tomtom. very aqurate.

Pros: - Picks up satellites very fast - Keeps the signal - starts up fast too

Cons: - there's no magnetic base or any other support to attch it on the dashboard of your car

Pros: Really high quality product. Battery life is up to 20 hours (as claimed). Very fast fixing GPS-position, high sensitivity. You may use "native" Windows' Bluetooth management with the driver from included CD

Cons: You need special USB-cable (Must be bought separate) to use it as GPS-mouse

Other: Uses standard Nokia battery. So no problem with getting spare one or replacement

Pros: lightweight and small - other reviews seem to cover the peformance :)

Cons: Provided GPS software crashes on my XP notebook

Other: Probably not the world's best GPS, but as with all my other DealExtreme purchases it is great value for money :)

Pros: - Compatible with N95 (even though it has internal GPS already) --> I like the Tomtom software better - does what it's supposed to do - small - light - can be charged via car charger or a standard usb cable

Cons: Build quality of this unit seemed to have worsened compared to the previous Holux models. I've played with the Slim version which came out before this, and that seemed to be built better than this. Nevertheless, it's still acceptable.

Pros: - Easy to use - This item is pretty cheap, I could not find it cheaper even on ebay, Deal Extreme beats it with the shipping costs. - I feared it would not work as good as Sirfstar III models but this microchip works very well. I have an athermic windscreen (French Car) and the signal is not lost even if I put it in the middle glove box. - Waaaaaay smaller then you might think, it's big like the third of my hand and there is no problem carrying it with you if you need GPS for walking.
- GPS locking seems to be not too long.

Cons: - The blinking leds do not inform you if it has locked GPS signals or not.

- If you have a miniusb cable you can only charge it and not use it to transfer data. I did not find the pinouts of this cable to make a DIY one but if you need to use it with a laptop, grab a 6$ usb bluetooth dongle from DX and you will be good to go.

Other: Works, Tiny, Cheap...

Pros: Lightweight and compact Design (about the size of a zippo lighter) Fast acquisition Time Can be sometimes used indoors (i personally can get 11m accuracy)

Very easy to set up on mobile devices running S60 v3

Cons: Software is a little hard to get working.

Standard USB cable cannot be used to turn this into a GPS mouse (you must buy a proprietary USB cable)

No mounting device that you can attach to your dashboard (I personally recommend a small Velcro sticker)

Other: Overall a great unit for the price.

Pros: It's so small that I have lost several times in the table under the papers during the tests. The low consumption and the size that has makes it ideal to mounted inside the car in the dashboard or in the porter It is located very rapidly in the first ignition and has good coverage

It come with a small windows software to view the GPS

Cons: The box is of plastic and seems to be weak
It gives the sensation that it is possible to break if falls.

Other: Perfect to work with an Nokia E65 (Symbiam S60 v3) with Tom Tom 6 in only a two minutes
