Pros: Good grip, also for bigger hands (like mine). Blade material seems good. Good balance. Folding knife. Can be readily disassembled (hex screws). Rather nice looks. Not spring assisted, makes it legal in many countries.
Cons: No thumb stud, no groove, to open blade. Just plain blade. Could be sharper. I keep the steel blade of my Opinel much sharper than this one is - possibly a material tradeoff because of higher brittleness of ceramic materials. where steel is more bendy, Zirconium is more breaky.
Other: With careful treatment, you should have a knife which is relatively care-free, with predictable sharpness, so you'll learn easily and quickly what the knife is good for. And what for not.

Pros: Had to order this one out of curiosity - and first impressions look good. . . . Knife is surprisingly light weighted. Smaller than espected, handy. Blade closes and opens easily. Nicely machined blade. Out of box sharp. Surprisingly sharp. Can cut one's armhair. I'd give 6 points for blade.
Cons: Blade does not lock itself closed. I would not put this in a pocket where it may open. . . . There is a small wobble sideways in blade if you try to move blade sideways using just your fingers on the tip of blade while holding the handle in place with other hand. . . . The finish of the holes of wooden part is not perfect - bit rough on the edges. Small markings or not-perfect finish in otherwise nice metal parts of hadle. . . . Ceramic blade and light weight means this is perhaps not a tool but more of a precision cutting knife. . . . Not sure whether I can sharpen ceramic blade when it needs sharpening.
Other: It's is a sharp ceramic folding knife out of box. If it had more solid handle and blade fixing and no minor flaws in hadle part finish this would be a 5 star product for this price. Usable for - well - find out yourself if you want to use a ceramic knife.

Pros: Cheap for a ceramic blade. The blade is a really nice shape. It is sharp: not razor sharp, particularly as the blade is thicker than I was expecting, but sharp enough to cut paper and, of course, the sharpness should last. Feels light and surprisingly well-balanced. Blade looks a lot nicer than the handle. Handle seems to be mostly aluminium with a couple of bits of wood, fasteners (screws) are steel, possibly stainless. Blade opens and locks easily and is reasonably easy to unlock and close.
Cons: Build quality of the handle and mechanism is not impressive, especially compared with the $13 steel ("Schrade Extreme Survival") knife I also got from DX. There is no lock to keep the blade shut. The screws were not tight and may come loose - Loctite or superglue might be useful. Not sure how strong the blade will turn out to be but it seems to be a good craft knife so far.
Other: Excellent ceramic blade for the price, let down a little by the cheap style and construction of the handle and lock mechanism. Glad I bought it.

Pros: I'd like to amend what I said in my first review. This knife has really grown on me... especially now I've seen the original Tachi knife it's based on, selling at nearly five times the price. The price on DX for a ceramic blade is amazing. I'm also finding the light weight, the ease of use and the durability of this knife to be much more appealing than I originally expected. It turns out to be surprisingly comfortable to hold. Also I've cut steel cans with this knife and the blade is as sharp as ever! The finish of the handle, much as I hate the styling, is actually better than I thought: there is no burring and the wood is silky smooth.
Cons: I still have some minor reservations about the build and style of the handle, but the styling comes from being a copy, and the build is more robust in use than I thought. It's still not up to the standard of SKU 30898, but the only things it lacks compared to its more expensive Tachi cousin are a thumb stud on the blade (doesn't actually need it unless you have soapy/oily hands) and a bit of wax/oil on the wooden parts.
Other: I keep pushing it harder and harder. I know I will break it eventually but it is much tougher than I thought. Bottom Line: I've just ordered another.

Pros: * Very sharp, and ceramic blade should hold its edge longer than a steel blade.
* Very smooth opening action. Can easily be flicked open with one hand.
* Very lightweight when compared to a steel knife of a comparable size.
Cons: * No thumb knob for one-handed opening (see my note above, though about one-handed opening).
* Wood is a bit rough, could use some sanding and oil.
* No pocket clip.
Other: I've been looking for an inexpensive ceramic folding knife, and this one fit the bill. So far, I'm very satisfied with the purchase, and would recommend it to anyone who needs a good pocketknife.

Pros: Sharp blade,
Real black ceramic,
Cut... like a knife !
Blade opens and close easily, and no problem with screws (as some other reported)
Perfect for all day use, but also for a collection
Nice looking with wood inclusions
Good 'one-hand-locking'
Solid feeling of the entire knife
Cons: Modern design of the handle, i would appreciate not to have empty spaces over the knife... but that's not a big concern, as many modern knives have this kind of parts (see pictures)
Other: If you need a ceramic folding knive, you're about to find it ! ;)
PS : Note that for all ceramic blades all over the world, it's a little bit fragile (rather than a metal blade)
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: -ceramic blade stays sharp
-it's a knife. Used as a knife it works fine.
Cons: -ceramic might break if abused.
Other: I' still leery of using a ceramic as my main blade due to the inability to use it to pry, and the chance that it could break or shatter with shrapenal.
But I haven't had any troubles in normal use around the house and garden.

Pros: QUITE WELL MADE ESPECIALLY FOR THE PRICE. SUPERIOR QUALITY IS AVAILABLE FOR MUCH HIGHER PRICE. THE BLADE IS SMOOTH, CUTS MOST MATERIALS WITH EASE AND IS SHARP ENOUGH FOR MOST APPLICATIONS. IF YOU ARE VERY EXPERIENCED AND HAVE PATIENCE THE THIS BLADE CAN BE HONED TO YOUR DESIRED LEVEL OF SHARPNESS.
Cons: MY FIRST BLADE LOCKED IN THE OPEN POSITION AND COULD NOT BE CLOSED. HAD TO DISMANTLE THE KNIFE, REMOVE THE BLADE TO SHIP BACK FOR REPLACEMENT. SHIPPED OVER 30 DAYS AGO, NO REPLACEMENT TO DATE.
Other: KNOW QUALMS AT ALL. IF YOU RESPECT THIS TOOL, IT WILL RESPECT YOU. WITHIN THE GUIDELINES FOR CERAMIC BLADES, THIS KNIFE IS AN EXCEPTIONAL VALUE. USE IT WRONG IT BREAKS, USE IT RIGHT IT WORKS VERY HARD.

Pros: sharp
good price
lightweight
nice finish
afiada
bom preço
leve (muito!)
belo acabamento
Cons: since it´s ceramic, lack a "thumbdrive" or so; not so easy to open
I was expecting it sharper, as my sku.28960 (that´s sharper!!)
Por ser de cerâmica, não tem um apoio para abrir com o dedo, nem um rebaixo, nada; em situação de uso pode complicar.
Esperava ela mais afiada, como a minha faca de cozinha sku.28960
Other: Nice buy to whom loves knifes.
Bela compra pra quem gosta de facas.
