HT RJ45 RJ11 Cable Tester

Pros: -Inexpensive -easy to use -Great for people who like to make their own cables -Breaks apart for testing between rooms or remote locations

Cons: None that i can think of

Other: This is very useful for anyone who has a network, whether you install networks or just troubleshooting your own.

Pros: Compact size is its major advantage. RX end can be detached for remote testing. The electronics part seems to work reliably enough. Build quality is adequate.

Cons: Build quality is adequate. Housing halves are glued (not screwed) together. Uses cheap phenolic PCBs. Testing (flashing) sequence is too fast, which can make diagnosis difficult on the first "run."

Other: A cheap'n nifty way to quickly check the continuity and pin assingment of RJ45s... Useful for those like to crimp their own cables.

Other: haves a good price and works fine so for the price is exelent

Pros: Excellent for checking homemade cat5 and rj11 cables.

Cons: Build is poor. Shouldnt be put into a toolbox or anything.

Other: Great Item for its Price.

Pros: This tester is one of the cheapest here. But it's smaller than 90% other similiar devices. It has all the indicators.

Cons: I don't like the typo of the batter it uses

Other: Will u really test USB cables? I test RJ45 cables in 99%. So buy this device. It's good

Pros: ITs very handy, compact CHEAP yet well suited, the lights light up one after the other in the order they are connected, enabled me to see i had 2 wires the wrong way around easily. Splits into 2 pieces allowing you to test cables with each end in a different room.

Cons: I havnt found any yet

Other: Hss been very useful, its very cheap and is well suited for home use, maybe buy a moe detailed device if you want one for a large office etc.

Pros: Works leds will lights one for a time and you could check if yopu have all wires in correct order, it could be even split in two parts and you will see on both end if its working.

Cons: Connectors are a bit stiff, but if you use reasonable force to plug them in it will do.

Other: Godd for the price, fitting is cheap, but who cares.

Cons: -Build quality! mine came broken
-The plastic is really thin
The battery compartment could be a bit bigger, it's hard to put in the 9v battery (dont know how i'll get it out when it gets empty).
-The plugs are a bit hard, so you need to push harder to get the cable in.

Other: If you have alot of network cables, or if you make the connectors yourself, and are not sure if they work, get this.

Pros: It works as a simple tester works, sending voltage pin-to-pin one by one, looping the sequence. The working situation is veryfied by the corresponding led!

Cons: The hole the 9v battery is suposed to be could not suport a easy replacement! You will need to force the enter or (like I`ve done) you need to open the device and plugin

Other: The on/off button is ATX like (I dont know the write name), the button do not have a lock. So I think the internal circuit can waste some energy (not sure yet), let`s seed the battery durability!

Pros: - very cheap
- small size
- nice looking
- very light of weight

Cons: - the Buildt Quality is the worst i've ever seen (brocken in the first 20 Minutes of ownership)

Other: i would buy it again (for this price is not much thrown away if it breaks ;-) )
