Pros: Great lil flashlight at a great price. This things shoots far with that optic. Its a nice pocket rocket with a 14500. I got this and an XPG based P60 and from a simple observation it looks like it matches or even surpasses it in throw. However the XPG does have a lot more flood to it then this flashlight. Build quality is good, threads are decent for the price and it looks like an attractive design overall.
Cons: Not as bright on a non Lithium Ion batt. Battery fits a bit loose but once closed it sit in there nice and tight. The color of the LED is a cold blue.
Other: Great flashlight for the price. I was using this at my job (hospital) when a guest came by look up to my light and said "nice flashlight". This flashlight is a great thrower.

Pros: Despite what the title says, this light also works well with CR123 rechargeable and primary cells! if you remove the little extender tube, CR123 cells fit right in with no problems. I guess the 14500 cells would be a better option because it means you can leave the extender tube in place and revert back to using AA's in an emergency. Fantastic throw from the plastic optic lens. Hotspot is about 1 meter diameter at about 10m distance. Nice looking. Good to hold - good knurling all over. Tailstands. Modes: High, low and strobe (default turn on mode is high, then you cycle through the other modes). I measured about 1A current draw at 1.5v and about 800Ma at 3.7v(both from tailcap). Doesn't really tell you much, other than the brightness is probably twice as high on 3 or 3.6v batteries.
Cons: * Don't appear to be able to dissasemble the head - seems to be glued together. * The plastic optics will scratch easily. The 'assualt crown offers some protection, but it would be nice to have a glass lens in front (although this would drop the output slightly). * Belt clip is a nice idea, but the screws come loose easily and it will eventually fall off. * Unit does get quiet warm if running from =>3v for extended periods.
Other: Good value as long as it holds together and the optic doesn't end up looking like so many of my toddlers DVD movies (all scratched and un-playable).

Pros: - amazing good throw, with a tiny damn bright hotspot - emitter seems to be well centered behind the optic - the clip is removable and really strong. its hard to bend you cant break it off by accident - can be used with any AA or cr123 format batteries/recharables - no dust or fingerprints behind the optic or on the light
Cons: - pwm flicker on low mode - changing modes is quite hard when using alkalines/NiMh
Other: please sell that optic seperate. Its got the best throw on that diameter ive ever seen :D

Pros: This light can accept a wide variety of batteries, making it a great item to have for emergencies. It has a great beam pattern, useful brightness. And modes are only three which is a good thing. Hi Low and Strobe. Seriously, who needs more modes? You got a VERY rugged easy to hold build.
The ENDCAP/SWITCH is the best built of any of the mini lights I have seen from DX. It rivals the tactical spring loaded pin designs used on high-end lights. Nice addition and it should last much longer than the cheapo clicky found on others. (The endcap is worth half the price of the light!)
Cons: Plastic optics. However the assault crown will help protect the optic since it is recessed nicely. Also for those who think the assault crown is rediculous on smaller lights, let me say that when the light is standing up without it you would not know the light is on, so it still serves a purpose.
Other: GREAT light- I use AA rechargies mostly. And it works perfectly.
Get one for your emergency kit and/or pocket before my review makes them sold out... (haha)

Pros: My previous review needs a few additions. (to be totally accurate). And since you cannot edit, I had to make a second one... -- This information should be appended to the last review to get my entire opinion...
Cons: DOES NOT zoom. (I actually did not expect it to, but forgot to mention that in my previous review.) ALSO: I mentioned the CLIP was a CON, when in fact it has the neato ability to be used on a sleeve since it is "backwards", and helps hold the light in a USABLE position.
Other: .

Pros: Tested with the following batteries AA (1.5) 14500 (3.7) CR123 (3) also suspect a CR2 3.7 will work well Good size, easy to hold does not heat up to much I like the direction the clip is facing, I find that this "Backeards direction is more usefull. It is big for this use but you could clip it to the brim of a hat for example The beam has a nice throw and size for light this size I think even though the lens is plastic it is a nice design.
Cons: Build quality was a little off, I do not expect the way the clip is attached that it will last the lifetime of the light. Screws are already working loose. Not a con for all but the head is all one glued piece you cannot take apart and clean or anything. It does have a solid plastic lens that cannot be removed, replaced, or cleaned, but personally it does what it should and I do not see an issue with it being platic.
Other: I would not pay more than I did for it, but I am happier with it than I thought I would be especially finding out that you can remove a section and use it with a CR123. SKU 26792 is better and has a really cool adjustable beam but is limitted to CR123 size batteries, so it is all just what you are lookign for.

Pros: TIR acrylic optic gives this little light amazing throw for its size. Three modes of output available by half/soft pressing the clicky (high/medium/strobe). Flashlight can use AA Alkaline/Nimh, CR123, or 14500 battery types. The extension tube for AA/14500 batteries is necked down on the inside to prevent battery rattle. The overall build quality is very suprising in this price range. The finish is close to a HAIII type finish. The reverse-clicky switch is very good and feels solid. The metal threads came pre-lubed and are machined well. O-rings are in all the right places; survived the dunk test.
Using a Sanyo Eneloop AA Nimh battery I would guestimate the lumens rating off approximately 50-60 OTF on medium, and 130-140 OTF on high. Runtimes are 45-60 minutes on high (output constant for first 45 minutes, dimming output to 60 minutes), and 3.5 hours on medium.
Cons: PWM on the medium setting creates a annoying buzzing sound, but it isn't too loud. Runs very warm/hot on high mode on extended runs. I would recommend running the light for no longer than 5-10 minutes on high. The metal clip is very stiff and is painted black. Possible water entry point where the clip is screwed into the body.
Other: Awesome little pocket thrower for the money.

Pros: This little light is truly amazing! I've shown it to several people already and compared it to my 3 watt maglite 3D, and this light blows the mag out of the water hands down. It measures 3.5in w/ cr123, or 4in w/ AA (extension tube included). With a AA it is just a little brighter than Maglite which is awesome, and with a cr123 it is significantly brighter.
3 modes are great, and no memory so each time you turn it on, its on high. Full click = on / off. Half click = mode switch.
Cons: Cons for this little light at $14.50? Ha! None at all! I wish I would have found these lights before I wasted money on Maglites, they look weak compared to this light, or most other lights on this sight for that matter.
Other: I spent hours researching the best pocket thrower lights on DX, and I bought this one. Definitely a good choice. I'll probably buy more for relatives. Everyone is blown away by the light this thing puts out in such a small compact size.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: what an amazing light for the price! easily worth the $15 price tag. the torch is solid, the threads are well cut, with O rings. don't bother powering the light with AA's it needs 3.7v. the lens is pretty cool, i've no idea how it works but the light has a great central hot spot, with great throw. the spill is decent considering the lights tiny size
Cons: none, it kicks ass all round the place
Other: buy one
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: Very bright, works from one aa batteries, it is heated moderately. Very long-range, on 200-250 metres light is visible easily. Works rather long. 1 hour on full brightness from 1 aa eneloop 2000. Continues to shine much weaker light till two o'clock, did not shine longer. It would be possible to make hardly more widely a beam but it is unessential. As a lack not to consider.
Cons: No
Other: Excellent choice
