Pros: Flexible. Easy to use (if you only use basic features). Includes battery. Works out of the box. Good enough (excellent for the price!). Small, can be hidden in the hand for self portraits.
Cons: Needs line of sight. Would not fire the camera from odd angles (although may have something to do with camera's infrared sensor instead of the remote) Many buttons, not all of which are useful for every camera.
Other: A working remote control for your camera for pocket change. An unbeatable price / quality ratio!
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: * After some guessing: It works.
Cons: * No users manual (read below) * No guidelines, which makes it difficult to figure out what is what...
Other: The remote shooting works, but don't expect all functions to actually work with your camera.

Pros: i can use it in my canon xsi and in my sister's canon sx10.
.
i also tried on my friend's sony h50 and it works even the manual didn't mention that.
.
it's cheap.
Cons: the manual doesn't explain what are the buttons for.
but i figure out that the C stand for canon, S for sony, etc.
Other: i would recomend this control to everybody.
.
it's kind of difficult to figure out the functions butwhen you do, works perfect!.

Pros: i can use it with my nikon d3000. small. easy to use. good distance working. running at large distances. I tried to ~ 50m, i think it can more. user-friendly design.
Cons: too lightweight :) I wish that it weighed more. that's all cons :)
Other: must have! if you have a digital camera (Pentax/Nikon/Canon/Sony/Minolta/Konic), this gadget is for you! i've nikon and i don't know how it works with other digital cameras.

Pros: Remote trigger for several camera models Very cheap Build quality seems to be very good
Cons: Functions such as timing don't work on all models but remote shooting does seem to work on any camera that has IR
Other: •Double check on your camera specs •Good price •Good product.

Pros: Works better then original Nikon remote I tested (larger angle). I use it on Canon 400D, and working on tripod indoors without it is just a pain, always had to use 10s timer to have a sharp image. Works with mirror lockup, works with 2s delay, it just WORKS. You do not have to click it directly from in front (although it must be in front of camera, due to camera construction) and sometimes it triggers the camera when pointed to wall in front of camera. Small, slim, package is great, comes with instructions (not needed actually). Comes with battery protection plastic, so you are the first user of it, you have full battery. Much much better then wire triggers where you remove plastic covers for ports and you deal with jacks and wires. With this, you just point and shoot and it works. Small, light, thin almost as CF card.
Cons: none found so far.
Other: Just buy it, you will need it once you have it

Pros: It works great with my Canon 350d camera, I've also tried it with other models and with Nikon too, it works perfectly. It's very cheap, it my local store such shutter remotes are much more expensive. I really like that I can choose between instant shoot and a shoot after two seconds. It's very useful.
Cons: No cons, except that in the beginning I was a little confused about which button I should press. At first I thought it wasn't working, but then I realized I was pressing the wrong button. It's not a big deal thought. The angle is not very wide, but it's not a big problem. It can't be better for such a cheap remote.
Other: -Very cheap. -Well packed, comes with user manual, a battery, protective nylon cover, in a box. -Great for self-portraiture or night photography. -It's easy to use when you get used to the buttons. -Made my photography much easier.

Pros: Good quality. Have a defensive film on buttons. Working properly. Good distance of working. Nice understandable English instruction that have a table of compatibility with different cameras. Good price. Very easy to use.
Cons: Just a little con, device have no strap an it is easy to lose or drop down.
Other: Good device at all. On Canon EOS 500D have two mode shooting, one shot and one shot with time delay. I use it with tripod in outdoor at night. It very useful!

Pros: The IR operator is cheap, looks decent and does exactly what you want from it: operating the shutter from a distance. If you're not sure you are going to use a remote so often and don't want to spend lots of cash on an A-brand one, this one is absolutely perfect.
Cons: There really aren't that many cons for the remote. The price could indicate that durability could be less then desired, but so far it makes a solid, albeit a bit light and flimsy, impression. The one possible con is the fact that it cannot be used from behind the camera. This is, however, more because of the camera (a Nikon D80 in my case) having the sensor on the front. Should you happen to be in front of a window, the signal bounces from that :)
Oh, and perhaps a small con, on my camera, only 1 button works. But it's the only one I need!
Other: A great little IR-remote for the occassional user that doesn't require complicated settings like specific shutter-times to be set through the remote.

Pros: First of all the price is low. This is much cheaper than most you can find in the shop. Its small size makes it very portable and handy. It is easy to use. Most importantly its wireless. Operate perfectly from a reasonable distance.
Cons: Average build with plastic cover. Feels a bit flimsy. For Nikon user like me, unfortunately, there is only one button. Means only single operation.
Other: Value for money. Since the size is small, it should come with a pouch or strap so user won't lose it easily.
