iPhone 30-Pin Female to 8-Pin Lightning Male Adapter - White

Pros: Cheap 8-Pin Lightning Male to 30-Pin Female Adapter - White which is working as advertised for charging iPhone 5. This is definitely a must in terms of cost compared to other original smaller adapters (fraction of the cost of an original one).

Cons: SKU 164318 (8-Pin Lightning Male to 30-Pin Female Adapter Cable - White) with its 16.5cm cable between the 2 adapters is better as the lightning connector is smaller (and similar in shape to the one coming with original Apple cable). It is therefore easier to connect to an iPhone 5 when a case or bumper is used.

Other: A must have.

Pros: - Great build quality - Really small, just like the original Apple connector - Charges devices with a Lightning connector using a standard 30-pin charger/data cable - Also supports data transfer to import photos or copy music/apps/etc. - Charging works with all Apple-compatible chargers I have

Cons: - My media player with iPhone dock does not recognize the connector. So I cannot use it to play music. - Might not fit with some cases

Other: It is a very cheap, but well built connector. It can charge your Lightning devices, but can also be used to transfer data. It unfortunately did not get recognized by my media player. But overall it is a great product

Pros: Works for iPhone 5 and newest iPad. Build quality is good. Charges and transfers data. Makes use of all my old 30-pin cables.

Cons: Much wider than original Lightning connector, so it doesn't fit over my iPhone case. Also doesn't seem to work with a much older (pre-iPhone) iPod cable.

Other: If you have old 30-pin cables and want to make use of them for your new iPhone or iPad, this is a much more affordable alternative to Genuine Apple adaptors.

Pros: The product works. (Hopefully that lasts.)

Cons: I think it's a little pricey for feeling a little cheap (build quality not the best, especially of you compare to the genuine Apple product) The plug doesn't fit very tight (you can bend and move it while plugged in. (Not the lightning part, but the broad part.)

Other: Gets the job done/Works. The Lightning part of the plug looks a little "hastily made", but it fits tight and works -- at least now, the first day. The rest of the plastic feels a little cheap and not very tight.

Pros: - it works well to charge my lightning gadgets (iphone 4 and ipad mini) - you can use your 30 pin dock connector cable to charge your new idevice without hassle - it is easy to carry and keep in my pouch when travelling - fit well with my old dock connector for my iphone 5 and ipad mini

Cons: you can not use it for synchronizing with iTunes so you still need your lightning cable whenever you want to sync with iTunes

Other: it is a must have thing in order to keep using your old idevice cable purchase one and you can prove it

Pros: Works great with my new iPhone 5. no problems at all. I can now sync and charge my iphone 5 with my old cables. Very small!

Cons: Build quality is very cheap. Feels like plastic that is going to break easily.

Other: Buy it if you need it. Its a great product but the build quality is bad for this price. If it was 3 dollar then was this the right choice!

Pros: Works perfectly just like the original one. Even works with camera connection kits on iPads but not iPhones. Color is similar to Apple products. Both the male and female connectors fit perfectly.

Cons: Lightning connector is a coupled connector instead of a unibody one piece design used on the original connectors so it may break more easily. A little expensive for third party connectors. Does NOT fit if you use any casings that cover the bottom frame/border of the iPhone

Other: A great connector that should be brought along should your friends only have a 30 pin cable or places that only provide emergency charging for previous iPhones. This saved my day when I forgot to bring along a Lightning cable!

Pros: Low price. Charges. Stops some of the old cables going in the bin and one cable on my desk.

Cons: No audio so not as advertised. I assume the Apple version does audio. I have two audio docks and this doesn't work with either of them.

Other: Disapointed.

Pros: Great little adapter to let you use your existing cables/devices with you next gen Apple stuff. Works good, small and easy to carry with you and does what you need.

Cons: I guess the biggest con is that we need this in the first place, I think this is the biggest mistake Apple has ever made. A little expensive but still mcuh cheaper than getting one from apple.

Other: If you need it, get it, maybe get 2. It allows you to use all those old and great devices without upgrading all the equipment you already own or buying better 3rd party stuff that just isn't available in the new connector style.

Pros: This adapter does the job and is relatively cheap (especially if compared to Apple's own $30 Lightning=>30-pin adapter).

Cons: A bit on the large side when compared to other similar adapters available on DX.com. There are also cheaper options worth looking at.

Other: Worth buying, but I would rather get one of the smaller adapters available on DX.com
