Jianisi Digital SLR Remote for Nikon Camera

Pros: Not too small (so it won't get lost easy as possible with Nikon remote)

Cons: Doesn't fit in the hand the best, and it seems a big long.

Other: A great buy, a great price thanks to dealextreme. Does the job without the extra cash for the official Nikon remote.

Pros: Can't beat the price. Works as designed. Performs the same function as the Nikon unit for a fraction of the cost.

Cons: I wish the brand name "Jianisi" weren't so prominent on the front of the unit, but it's no big deal.

Other: You just can't go wrong for the price on this unit. Highly recommended

Pros: Much cheaper than Nikon branded remote and it works! Free shipping. Convenient to have a hole for your lanyard.

Cons: It would be nice if the plastic casing was rubberized--but that's being really picky.

Pros: When I opened the box I had my doubts but I was pleasently suprised. It worked great and it is a lot of fun. It makes catching people relaxed and unaware. Takes up next to no space in my pack however is big enough that it won't get lost...

Other: Buy it, love it, keep it in your camera bag for when you need it.

Pros: Very cheap price. Works great with my Nikon D50. Batteries are already included.

Cons: Can't think of any at all. Some people mention it's looks, but I have no problem with it whatsoever.

Other: Just works. No configuration or set up is needed on remote, go to menu of your camera and set it to use remote, pull out the battery protecting strip and start using. Batteries already included, so just plug & play.

Pros: Works great. Using with a D80. Sets off the shutter from 20+ feet. It has a keychain hole, so you can attach it to something so you don't lose it. It's larger than the nikon remote, again, so it's harder to misplace. I think it works more often than my nikon one did. It sets off the shutter every time, where the nikon remote I had to move it around, point it at different angles, etc.

Cons: It's big, so you can see it in the pictures when you get in the picture. Use the cameras timer so you have time to hide it.

Other: I like it. It's cheap, works fast.

Pros: Works great on my Nikon D40, no problem using it from a wide angle, over a good 15-20' distance. simple one button design does the job! I love it!

Cons: i cant tihnk of any real cons, aside from the fact a lanyard or method to clip it to a strap would be nice, and maybe make it a bit smaller. it was a little hard to get out of the box too

Other: great to have if you have a nikon DSLR camera! if you are taking shots in the dark, or want to play tricks on your friends.

Pros: This remote worked right out of it's box with my Nikon D80. It came with a battery (CR2025), which can be found all over. Putting the battery in was easy, as the instructions were on the side. The remote works from around 30 feet away, and the IR beam can be reflected off surfaces such as walls. I was practically able to point in any direction and have the camera take a photo. As well, I tried bouncing the beam from another room, and it worked out well.

Cons: Slightly too long for my liking.

Other: If you don't want to over pay for a remote from your local shop or Nikon dealer, this remote sets you back almost nothing and does it's job well, from a distance.
