What is Bulk Rate? BulkRate is a semi-wholesale system with items priced separately from retail. When you use bulk rates, a flat $1.70 registered air mail fee will automatically be added to your cart to ensure delivery of package. While BulkRate's intention is to offer cheaper prices when you buy in bulk, because it is priced separately it on occassions show a higher than retail price. That's why we ask you to enter BULKRATE as a coupon code to manually activate the rates. You can always opt not to use the bulk rates. Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: Nice size, looks like something Olympus would put their name on. Battery is quite common.
Cons: Used with Olympus C-770: Shutter button doesn't work. Zoom doesn't work. Only functions in playback mode, to zoom in and out.
Other: All I wanted was a remote shutter release, but it can't even do that.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: Very Small and Portable. Does the job. Worked right out of the box.
Cons: No Cons
Other: This is another nice addition to camera gadgets. There's so many out here and the price are excellent. I would recommend it
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: -good quality -very slim and lightweight -covers several models -much lower cost compared to original
Cons: none really
Other: grab it!
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: For the price, the build quality is one of the best. The box comes a little crushed, but well, who cares as long as the remote control is working. I tried the remote the moment i got it. All the buttons worked fine. And i even wondered if I should tell me friends that I got a 100% working and compatible remote control for under S$10. Products arrive within expected dates, and I am currently using the Olympus one.
Cons: Hmm...bad points? Too cheap?
Other: What are you waiting for? Get a few and sell them!

Pros: - Great with Olympus E-410
- Small, slim and lightweight
- Worked right out of the box
- All the buttons worked fine
- Works in BULB mode
- Works in AF and MF modes
- Good build quality
- Very cheap
Cons: None, but i have it only one week..
Other: S button
- first press is like half-pressed shutter (in AF modes)
- second take photo
W - for start bulb
T - for stop bulb.
I would recommend it for night shots/long exposure shots

Pros: Works on the new Olympus E520. Almost cheaper to buy it from Deal Extreme than it is to buy a battery!
Its small and dosen't take up much space.
Cons: No Instructions, but it isn't that hard to figure out how to use it.
When I opened the battery compartment I accidently dropped the battery and holder, it's not immediately obvious which way round to put it back in.
Other: If you can use a camera like the E520, you are probably going to be able to figure out how to use the remote. If you have an Olympus DSLR then BUY IT, you won't regret it.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: Slim and small enough to fit in even the smallest camera back. Looks good in my opinion.
Good build quality.
I've had this item for few days now and run some tests with it. Does work.
And the price is amazing, about one tenth of original brand.
Cons: Buttons are not explained in the user manual. However, they are explained in another review here, and with tree buttons it's not really complicated anyway.
The user manual (one page) seems to be a generic one, so doesn't contain instuctions on how to turn remote reception on in the camera, it just refers to the camera's manual. In my Olympus E-400 the remote operation is activated from the same selection than timer.
Other: I guess I don't have much use for a camera remote, but with this price I can get one for just-in-case.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: * Works right out of the box (battery even included)
* Controls my E-410 like a charm
* Works well from most angles (I've yet to test its range)
* Retail remote is 25-30$. Do the math.
Cons: * Build quality is good but not perfect (the glossy front panel isn't entirely flat)
* Very few buttons, and not all of them even have a function on my camera. Keep in mind this is similar if not identical to the OEM remote from Olympus (what a shame).
* No instructions (except a note on infra-red light being invisible ;))
Other: I got 2, for myself and for a friend. At this price it could have one big "Shoot" button and I'd still recommend it :)
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: Costs nothing compared to original Olympus remote.
The remote is small, fits nicely to pocket or to camera bag.
Build quality is good.
Looks good in my opinion.
Cons: There are no instructions in the remote which button does what.
Other: I don't need the remote often, but this was still work buying. At times it is good to have a remote and this one does the job perfectly well.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: -Works exactly the same as the Olympus remote
-Can activate bulb mode
-Works with Olympus dSLRs
Cons: -Somewhat cheap build quality
-No manual to speak of
-Very little tactile feedback on buttons
Other: Absolutely worthwhile. Works out of the box with Olympus dSLRs.
