When you use bulk rates, a flat $1.70 registered air mail fee will automatically be added to your cart to ensure delivery of package. While BulkRate's intention is to offer cheaper prices when you buy in bulk, because it is priced separately it on occassions show a higher than retail price. That's why we ask you to enter BULKRATE as a coupon code to manually activate the rates. You can always opt not to use the bulk rates. Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: - Has a nice looking display light (white light)
- Build quality is good.
- Cable is long enough.
Cons: - The shutter release button can be set to a lock position, but it is very hard to push it into the right position. I scratched my thumb nail whilst doing it!
- My lcd display was a little bit damaged. It has pretty deep scratches into the plastic screen, but it works.
- The manual is missing some essential things, like how to use the shutter release button lock.
Other: Good working product. Compared to the original Canon timer remote, which is about 150€, it's much and much cheaper!
Also, the 'original' trigger doesn't fit on the Canon EOS 400D (rebel Xti i believe), because the connector is different, so this is the only trigger remote available for this particular camera. The cable of the original one must be modified to work..
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: - display light with illumination(white light)
- Build quality is good.
- Easy to use
Cons: - The modes are stated above the lcd screen without illumination, you should remember the mode that you want to use if you will user this in darkness.
Other: Works great if compared to the original Canon remote command, much and much cheaper, the original remote costs US$ 200.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: a) Long battery life: Mine did more than 20k exposures in timelapse, with runntime of serveral days, and still uses the included batteries b) Quick to set up exposure sequences c) Illuminated display on demand. Useful for night exposures d) Seems pretty sturdy
Cons: a) You cannot switch off the "beep" sounds the last 3 seconds before an exposure. Those are nice for delayed exposure, but during a time-lapse the constant beeping is a bit annoying
Other: No big issues with it. It does everything its suppoed to, lasts forever on its batteries and is MUCH cheaper than any Canon original stuff
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: - Works Perfect on 550D/T2i Canon Camera
- Easy to Use and Configure for time lapse shots
- Good Build Quality
- Nice Display
- On / Off Button
- Delay Function (for first shot)
Cons: - No BackLight on lcd screen (for night shots)
- Hold Button a little difficult to set on lock position.
- Limited to 399 Shots, I would like 999 shots for long time lapses.
Other: Best option compared to buy the original and Overpriced Canon Shutter.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: It's awesome! First of all, it has english manual, so you can learn how to use it without searching the internet. It has good build quality - hard and solid - with a long wire. It's universal - you can use it almost on any DSLR cameras. It can transform your low-level camera into high-level camera (well, in some cases), because it can expand abilities of your camera.
Cons: Only one thing: it's not so cheap, as other remote shutters, BUT!
Other: Awesome thing, i like it very much and use it when i need to shut something with camera on tripod, or when i don't want to touch camera and avoid any tremor or shakes..
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: - Works as expected - Using it as a simple "dumb" remote shutter works even without turning it on or having batteries
Cons: - Somewhat hard to use in the beginning. You will have to read the manual. The manual itself is well-written and explains how it works fairly well though. - Cord could be a bit longer I guess, but you could just add an extension cord if you need that
Other: If you need a remote shutter for your Canon camera and you want to be able to program it, you should get this.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: Nice little remote which does perfectly what it is designed to do. Works with common AAA batteries. The power switch turns it off completely so the batteries last longer. Illuminated screen helps when operating in the dark. It also can be used as a shutter release without batteries.
Cons: It could probably be a little cheaper.
Other: Welcome to the world of long exposures and time-lapse photography
