JY-R2T V1.2 RS232 Serial Port Converter

Pros: Works as advertised. Comes with 4-wire TTL cable that worked perfectly. Only $2.60. Bought it to reflash the firmware on a broken seagate HDD. Worked.

Cons: Screws holding it together have to be removed if you want to put it directly into a serial port. Not that big of a deal. Doesn't come with a mini USB cable that is required for operation (to power it), but I had one so no problem.

Other: Solid deal and high quality. Better than average!

Pros: + Simple functional and professionally produced. + Works on the first connection. + Led indication for better clarity. + Tested communication via the programming language Visual Basic 6 and everything is fine. + Includes cable to other equipment such as AVR microcontroller

Cons: - Does not contain holes for mounting - Individual pins are not brought out to an external USB connector.

Other: I encourage all who are home electrical equipment.

Pros: Compact, easy to use, convenient connectors. Works exactly as required. Fits pretty much anywhere a DB9 connector would fit so projects are kept more compact.

Cons: The mini-USB socket for power can be misleading for buyers. This socket is for power ONLY.

Other: Would definitely buy again, probably two or three extra as spare units

Pros: Can by powered by de USB but it's not necesary. The cable connector is just what is needed. Compact, easy to use. Works exactly as required. Fits pretty much anywhere a DB9 connector would fit so projects are kept more compact.

Cons: Tx rx indications not clear in what sense are.

Other: Perfect. The entire set has been cheaper than the chip RS3232 only in my city.
