Laptop/PC Security Cable Combo

Pros: No keys needed, so as long as you remember the code you're fine.

Cons: Changing the code can be somewhat difficult, but then again how many times do you actually go and change it?

Other: If you are in need of a keyless laptop/notebook lock this seems to do the job well.

Pros: Does what it says it does. Locks your laptop to a stationary object. Easily changed combination.

Cons: Cable a bit thin, likely easy to cut and run.

Other: Having a thin cable is a problem all locks of this type have.

Pros: - Cheap! - Useful - Good enough for casual use.

Cons: - A little thin, likely easily cut with proper equipment

Other: Don't use it with the idea of leaving your notebook behind for long... just use it when you need to leave a few minutes or something, it's great for such occasions.

Pros: Nice price and easy to use.

Cons: Not really secure buy better than left alone.

Other: Great relation price and quality.

Pros: This is a decent security cable if you just want to prevent someone form walking in and simply taking your laptop, but if they really wanted it, they can easily cut the wire. You can set your own code which is a big plus so you can change it if someone knows it.

Cons: Kind of cheap built quality. The actual cable length is kind of short too.

Other: I am in college and I just use it to people can't just walk off with it. A decent purchase I guess. Like I said before, better than nothing.

Pros: It was good and secure before I changed the default pass code! :(

Cons: I received this today-all was good until I set the pass code from default, followed instructions -set my preferred pass code-but now the lock won't work. :( It won't recognise my newly chosen pass code or the default, so it's useless now as it's locked. :( Oh well-it didn't cost that much. I'll just buy another-but I'm afraid of locking that one too!!

Other: It's good unless something doesn't go right when you change the default pass code!! :(

Pros: + Seems sturdy and secure + Very handy with a combination lock + Quite ideal cable length + Easy to adjust the combination + Four digits is both safe and practical

Cons: - The lock needs to be forced into the slot in the laptop.

Other: Compared to the domestic alternatives, this
cable is a bargain. The fit is somewhat substandard, but it works and that is all that counts.

Pros: Lock your valued items for a small price! Because of the code it isn't easy to open with just a simple key. Also you can't lose your key (but the code you can.. :P)!

Cons: The cable isn't that long, just around 1.5 m. Also the build quality is a little bit questionable, because you do lock items that have a higher value then $6,09 :D And it isn't that easy to set the key, because you need to press in a tiny part of the body while adjusting the numbers.

Other: Overall it's worth the price, but the build-quality can be improved. I hope that the cable will not lock when I want to remove it :D

Pros: - It does lock your laptop and i cant seem to force it open yet.
- Cheaper than what i can get it for here.
- Lock slots in and out of my laptop smoothly.

Cons: - Build quality is obviously lacking, but it does lock the laptop and holds it.
- Cable seems to be a little thin, although normal penknife and scissors cant cut it.
- A total pain to set the lock password, luckily i only have to do it once.

Other: Sometimes i need to leave my laptop on its own for a little while. With this lock, at least i can be assured that the laptop will still be there when i step back.

Pros: Hey for the price you cant find anything like it here in New Zealand!! Lol well you could but it would probably be a piece of rope. Pro? Well its enough to keep your laptop safe while you pop out for a bit. Price was about $8.50NZ No key needed! That way you dont need to search around for it ^_^ 4 roller conbination so it wont be as easy to randomly guess! Just out of Curiosity tried pulling at it but it held up quite well. The combination was really easy to set, just use pen a pen to hold down the button while you spin the dial.

Cons: The cable is soo short!! That said though.. it's long enough to secure the laptop to the table. Well I guess it also makes it portable ^_^ The lock looks flimsy... Although It should be quite strong being metal and all.

Other: Hey for $8:50 you cant do any worse... Its strong enough to slow down anyone wanting to do a quick grab and run. On the other hand... its $8:50 so dont expect too much lol! At the end of the day you still have to look after your gear so remember to keep an eye out.
