LCD Digital Alcohol Tester Breathalyser with Clock

Pros: This is a really good unit. You get what's advertised, with .01 BAC granularity up to .19. For the price, it can't be beaten at all. On the US market, competing units are at least $50.

Cons: Ten second warmup time, ten second testing time. Oh well, it's a tiny price to pay.

Other: Excellent. A must buy.

Pros: Several functions in one unit. It is of course the Breath Alcohol tester, a 12 or 24 hour clock, an alarm clock, a countdown timer, and a C/F thermometer.

Cons: None really

Other: I tested it soon after I received it and registered 0.00. I tried it after brushing my teeth and using mouthwash containing alcohol and it registered 0.40 (twenty minutes later it was back to 0.00) Instructions very clear. I need to go for drinks so I can test this under real world conditions.

Pros: Inexpensive tester. Easy to keep in the car.

Cons: None.

Other: Good to help you understand how little it takes to be illegal. I was shocked and am much more cautious now that I know.

Pros: Cool functionality The digital thermometer is quite useful

Cons: The screen display for the alcohol section is much dimmer than the clock section. Its hard to read unless you hold it at just the right angle. Maybe its just mine.? Also, initially mine looked like the screen was scratched as there was a gob of glue between the bottom lcd and the plastic casing The reading is quite influenced by recent sips of booze which give a high reading while your blood alcohol level would be much lower.

Other: Hey, its 10 bucks.

Pros: very accurate and usefull, quality is better than expected, clock/counter makes more usefull

Pros: Mine alcoholtester was too insensitive. I have quite drunked when I wrote this review and this meter shows maximum only 0.08%. (I have drunk 14 0.33litres 0.047% beers in 10 hours and my is weight 85 kg) It should be something about 0.12% in my condition. Early in the evening I drunk 3 beers in half an hour and then that meter shows only 0.01%. Thats why I have to test that meter tonight and I have discovered that it is good device to challenge your friends, which it most drunked but it's not enough sensitive to measure that are you really able to drive.

Other: Good device but too insensitive. Rather too sensitive that so insensitive.

Pros: We use it at parties to see who can drink more :P Its got a precise thermometer in it!

Cons: sometimes displays wrong value, u have to blow again, and it really isnt easy to blow 10 seconds when ur drunk!

Other: Get it!

Pros: it's quite small so easy to carry around. Warm up time is only 10 seconds. clock and thermometer are nice little extras. And you can't complain about the price.

Cons: the air intake and release is not carefully guided so you get a lot of condensation on the LCD-screen after blowing into it. Even on the batteries drops of water starts to build up after a few blows. Also it looks like you are blowing more air around then really into the sensor. (maybe i can fix that with a bit of silicone?)

Other: Nice little toy to have fun with,but i wouldn't use it for "drive safety" as stated on the box because common sense will be more accurate then this unit I think.

Pros: This is a great gadget that realy detects alcohol !
First i diddnt thought this gadget realy would work. But when i recieved i tested right away. And it realy detects it !
Its very easy to use. Just hold the big button and wait 10 seconds. After it beeps, it counts again til 10 seconds. In the mean time you need to blow in little holes above the device.
when it back to zero, it will say if you light drunk of very drunk.
Great size too !

Cons: I took this gadget to the pub and let some people blew in the device. But the device say very often that the person was under influence of alcohol. But that persons diddnt drunk anything !
So you need to wait a half hour or so when the alcohol is out of the device. Then you can use it again.
but it takes ages to wait.

Other: Very funny to take to party's etc.. if you can wait half hour afther you use it.
If you cant wait, then just take another beer.
