When you use bulk rates, a flat $1.70 registered air mail fee will automatically be added to your cart to ensure delivery of package. While BulkRate's intention is to offer cheaper prices when you buy in bulk, because it is priced separately it on occassions show a higher than retail price. That's why we ask you to enter BULKRATE as a coupon code to manually activate the rates. You can always opt not to use the bulk rates. Cons: None
Other: Good remote easy to install diffrent remotes on it It goes like this: 1.Select install menu 2.Press buton on other remote 3.Now press button you want to assign it to on this remote 4.Now do this witht he other buttons I installed full DVD remote in 2/3Min
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: Great replacement remote.
Learns other remotes if code is not there.
Good responsive feedback, lcd screen is power saving.
works really well.
Has replaced dvd, tv, set-top box, hi-fi and vcr remote controls!
Can add t-v buttons to dvd remote function so you can change the tv volume while dvd is selected!
Cons: sometimes not as responsive as i'd like but i think it is not remotes fault.
Would be great to edit the values on computer because rolling codes get confused when learning (happens on all learning remotes)
Other: cheap replacement remote - don't buy any other than this one -it is really good.
you want a learning remote not just a universal remote. get it now!
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: Great remote to replace all the remote that you have and the battery will last longer than those with the lcd touch screen.
Cons: None
Other: Get it if you have a remote that's not working or you're sick of all those remote you've got.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: Really easy to program your devices into it. The manual has English instructions. If your device doesn't have code in the remote, it is easy to program individual buttons.
Cons: Strength of signal is weak and gets frustrating at times, this is mainly with my satellite receiver.
People make fun of the large Chunghop name printed on the remote.
Other: If you have too many remotes and one is always missing, get this. It is a cheap alternative to much more expensive remotes that do the same thing.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: Able to work with all my remote controller.
Cons: Unable to match all my Philips LCD TV button, missing the Teletext button. Response time for the Philips TV is slower then the original controller as I have to hold the button 1/2 seconds longer.
Other: Will get more for the other rooms.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: Great price and easy to use basic functions. Was able to use a program code for my NEC TV (I couldn't do that on another more expensive remote). Very easy to program using codes and use learning function. English operating instructions. Easy to read LCD display.
Cons: I found the instructions for programming macros a bit confusing.
Other: Great buy to replace several remotes or broken/missing remotes. Recommend it as a very useful remote.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: - It has a normal LCD screen
- It attracts your guests attention 8)
- It has MACROS (the main reason of buying this remote)
- This remote has many many pre-sets (or it's codes) for many devices. (I tested it with 3 Sony TV, 1 LG DVD, 1 Samsung DVD, Sony VCR, LG VCR)
- It isn't big (i like it)
- It replaces a bunch of other (default) remotes. So now i have a tidy night table with 1 remote
Cons: - Hard to use at first (i mean macros)
Other: I bought it for self. Some friends of mine bug me to buy at DX some more for them.... doh
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: -The price is good to a device with LCD and macro functions. -It has a nice set of built-in codes that fit almost every home appliance. -The LCD has backlight but remote power it of to save battery if no key pressed for some seconds. -Macro functions can be executed at a specific hour. -Excellent learn function. -Simple to use basic functions -Manual on many languages
Cons: -LCD has pre-defined appliance names (TV, VCR, SAT, DVD, CD and A/C). It could be better to rename a page, ie. VCR, to something like "Home Theater" (or for short, Theater) since we don't have VCR anymore. -There are only 4 macro key -Automatic search code is terrible, the best way is to enter codes manually or by learn function -Macro programming instructions is confuse.
Other: All my remote controls (5 at all) are now retired 8)
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: It is able to control my TV and with its learning function, also control my RM Player ... the backlight is really useful at night ... user manual is in English which is great ... but the programming steps are kind of errrr troublesome, though it will work great after programming ...
Cons: Built quality is not excellent, the 2 LEDs are not placed and soldered properly, one taller than the other ... the top 3 buttons are silver in color and the words on it aren't clear ... although the specifications says the range is at least 8 feet, the angle of the range seems to be quite small ... got to point the remote controller directly to the receiver in order for the receiver to get the signal ...
Other: Great product at this price ... can't ask for more at this super price ...
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: Easy to set up if you're happy to manually do each button.
Easy to switch between different devices.
No problems with dodgy buttons or the display.
Cons: Build quality is pretty average. Doesn't look very impressive, but after fairly long term ownership, still working fine.
Other: Cheap universal remote that is actually reasonably good.
