  • A good quality exercise toy

    posted by blacklotus90 on 16:33:27 G4T 23/04/2007

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: -Feels solid -Great value -LED's add interest -Fun to play with -Easy to grip so it doesn't fly out of your hand

Cons: -Takes a while to learn to start it without the string -Instructions are not fully clear english; a bit confusing

Other: Having gone through a few of these in the past, I was expecting a low quality plastic gadget that would maybe last a few weeks. What I got was much better. This exercise ball is really fun to play with, not to mention that after a bit of spinning, you can really feel the workout in your wrist. The LED's add a twist to an otherwise samey experience, and the grip is really great. I will probably order others for friends/relatives as presents.

  • Not as great as I expected...

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: It lights up, and does have some "gyroscopic" feel to it

Cons: There seems to be a lot more friction in this item versus the real item. It tends to slow down and loose the gyro feel soon - 5 seconds - after it is spun.

Other: I would have rather saved my $$ for some more pig LED key chains!

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: +I got it when it was cheaper. +It was decently priced when I got it. +Grip thing is decent

Cons: -The case is only glued together. -The blueball/gyro is not so well -made (it has imperfections)

Other: Considering the price, pros and cons, and entertainment value of this particular product, I would either save up and get the real thing or buy something else more useful such as a lighter or adapter.

  • Cheap exercise /toy, but real thing is better.

    posted by monaro-man on 19:23:04 G6T 12/06/2007 certificated customer

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: It works, it does exercise your arms, and it's a cheaper rip off the original (only a fraction of the real product, I think even less than half the price).

Cons: Dodgey making, although works. Doesn't have a very high rpm I think 8k is the max. If string is lost, beginners will find it hard to start up.

Other: Can be a good beginners and cheap alternative to the real one. Although for those who are serious in using it as an exercise ball, get the real thing.

Cons: Leds could have inductive power source, not button batteries.

Other: Great arm training gadget! And mutch cheaper!

Pros: The ball has a pretty steady feel to it. Felt easier to start than some of the other ones I have tried.

Cons: The rubber ring around middle could be troublesome for small hands.

Other: Good item if you want something to relax with and or exercise with.

  • LED gyro ball

    posted by cagb1248 on 17:34:57 G1T 14/01/2008 certificated customer

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: Good wrist strengthening gadget. Gets hard to hold after awhile, especially if it is spinning really fast. LED's light up once you get it going.

Cons: none, really. It works like it is supposed to. The plastic could maybe be a bit more sturdy.

Other: I'm glad I got it.
