    Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

    Pros: Everything works as described, the A1-07 has bluetooth, wifi and GPS. This model comes with Android Gingerbread 2.3 installed. The unit is a Chinese model and when it first starts it’s a bit tricky to navigate to change the language to English – but with perseverance I found it! This unit has all the features of a Samsung Galaxy Tab, at a fraction of the price. I am currently fitting this to the 7” space in the car when the old Sat nav used to work. Now I have maps with GPS, Bluetooth ODBII connectivity to the car, and a device with my audio books on it for the long trips to work. It’s great!

    Cons: The 2 GB on board storage is a bit limiting, however you can add an SD card in the slot at the bottom. If you read Chinese, you’ll have a head start on those of us who only know English, the manual and USB charger are Chinese models. If you are using in another country you will need a USB charger which fits your countries power supply.

    Other: Hard to beat for the price and functionality offered
