LodeStar Soldering Paste (50g)

Pros: Some other products here are listed as paste, this stuff is actually paste while others are flux. Gives a good solid solder joint even at sub 500C, flux and solder all in one makes for strong connections even when no mechanical connection is available.

Cons: Doesn't have a packing/expiration date.

Other: If you are working with SMT as a hobby paste can speed up the process. If you have never used it, this is cheap and can give you a great idea what it's all about.

Pros: Surprisingly cheap concidering what every other supplier charges for solder paste. Works like a dream.

Cons: Hard to dispense a small enough ammount without using a syringe.

Other: Buy this if you solder SMD, it is just fantastic to work with.

Pros: a very interesting product to work with, i look froward to playing with this some more with different projects.

Cons: apparently needs to be refrigerated, not a big deal.

Other: great deal.

Pros: This is some very good soldering paste. If you solder SMD, then this is one product you should have on your shelves. It's very cheap compared to other sources and you should really consider stocking it from DX.

Cons: None at all!

Cons: came crusted, had to mix it a bit needed something to apply it(a syrynge or something alike)

Pros: Flows easy and great to work with, pakage a bit smaller than I thougt but then i realized that I only need a small quantity and this will last a loooong time.

Cons: None...

Other: Good quality, now I just need a riged pizza oven... :-)

Pros: -Works great for DIY reflow. -VERY cheap compared to buying it from a electronics supplier. -Plenty of it, it'll last you a long time.

Cons: -Kind of tough to apply
-The consistency of mine was fine, but the possibility of it drying out over time is possible.

Other: Great deal on some solder paste, will definitely buy again if I ever need to!

Pros: It is difficult to find solder paste at this price. This is not flux, but is a mix of flux and solder. Great for surface mount devices. Just spread the paste on the pads, put the component in position and touch your soldering iron to it and presto, your done. Works well. Should be refrigerated otherwise it could separate.

Cons: None noted. It is what it is and it is and it works.

Other: This stuff is handy to have on-hand, just in case you need it. At this price, if you do a lot of soldering, you should have some to cover those situations where you might need it. Better to have it around to cover all situations.

- Did I mention the price?

Cons: - Perhaps a syringe would be a nice add-on, but since the price is tiny and I can get syringes very cheap here in Finland, it's no problem. A few Euros bought me a small bagful of a few different kinds of syringes to test different needles and such.

Other: It does what it should, gets the job done nice and neat. And cheap. One of the best buys from DealExtreme so far.

Pros: - Easily solder electric wires without using solder and flux.
- Good amount of paste.

Cons: - None.

Other: If you're afraid of, dislike or make a mess of soldering - this is a great solution for you.
Get it and you will be happy.
