Pros: Oke, have this one received.
Whon open the pakage , nice, but in the hand it feel cheap. It take a long time to find out wich kind of mpeg-4 codec used for the android.Discription is to little.
I want to use it for a media player and some time's email or google enzenz.
Internet is working, nice free apps from the internet.Cheap machine, maybe a sleeve to protect this one..??Usb port is not for a USB stick but for a wide connector cable.
So you can't connect any gps receiver or printer enzenz
Cons: For cheap it's nice, think good why you wanna buy this machine, more cheaper then a laptop.
It's a big phone without calling to your mother hihi. It's a nice toy to learn to play with android aplications.
Screen is oke for this price(i have seen better)
Other: When I maybe see this item in a shop or by friends, I think i wouden'd buy it.
Now i have it and it's nice to play and dicover android

Pros: Very inexpensive, even if it's just used as an eBook reader or wifi enabled photo frame - streaming photos from the likes of flikr. At this price point, the potential for other uses - such as for home automation control etc - is huge.
Cons: Not a fast processor, battery life is suspect, resitive not capacitive touch screen, built to a cost so would want to be careful with it. Would expect that the screen is likely to be easy to scratch so a "skin" might be a good idea, although could impact the sensitivity.
Other: This is an initial early review - the unit just arrived this afternoon. Overall so far I'd have to say this shows great potential and amazing value for money. I've bought it as an e-reader at night (so a kindle device that needs a separate light source is not ideal), as well as potentially a wifi enabled photo frame. This can do so much more - a definite recommendation if you are willing to accept the shortcomings such as resistive screen, short battery life, possible fragility.

Pros: good price, nice clarity of screen, many free apps available on internet. wifi is nice feature, pretty responsive. smooth lines and fit and finish seem to be of good quality.
Cons: The 2 biggest cons that i can see at this time are: first the battery life is only about 2 hours with wifi and browser going, unlimited if plugged in of course. and the second problem is it doesnt support flash player, so trying to watch youtube videos is not allowed. G-sensor is a bit laggy also, doesnt always know the position of the device or sometimes wont switch positions
Other: longer battery life, flash upgrade, and a case that works as a stand like a picture frame so it can rest on the counter.

Pros: I was thrilled that DX got this to my door in the US much more quickly than I ever expected.
Observations that are neither make nor break, and that collectively probably represent 20% of what I'd use or appreciate the M001 for:
* The M001 touch screen works fine but isn't as responsive as Apple's. (My opinion of this might be tainted as I didn't take off the protective sheet.)
* Android is a slick OS but it isn't as clean or consistent as Apple's
* Gmail using the Android app is pretty good.
* Google Maps is good but not better than on the Mini 9.
* Battery life seems to fail the can-I-watch-a-whole-movie-with-it test. Maybe this would be technically addressable with some kind of external battery pack kludge, but that would completely remove any form factor benefit of the M001 over the Mini 9.
* The AC cord protrudes in a most obtrusive way right where you want to hold the device. I don't believe it could have been situated in a less convenient place.
* Wireless sensitivity was unexpectedly low but it worked throughout my house.
* I've perused the other apps for the device and the app list reminds me more of what's available for the old Palm--99% of which is dumb games or redundant, totally useless utilities. Am I missing something big here?
* MP3s played fine (mono external speaker, stereo headphone jack).
* Photos displayed OK, slowly when viewed over my home network, but the viewer didn't seem to notice the embedded data to display the photos landscape or portrait.
Cons: Big issues:
* Browsing - 40% of what I'd want this device to do well - is fair at best. It's a notch better than browsing on a Sony PSP, which isn't saying much, and is still more of a novelty than a tool. To make up for the small screen it would need to be meaningfully faster. Several video reviews blame the speed of their internet connection for the speed of the browser but that ain't it.
* Movies - another 40% of what I'd want this to do well - are disappointing. Like the iPhone and iPad, Android doesn't support the common formats so you have to use HandBrake to convert files and substantially scale down the resolution so they'll play on this processor. What's the point of spending time on this when the Mini 9 will play them as-is, where-is?
Other: Conclusion:
I don't see a target market for the M001 or a target use for the device. Compared to a $600 32GB WiFi iPad, and considering the $80 one spends for a 32GB SD card for the M001, this device is 1/6 as useful as the iPad at 1/3 the cost. Not a good trade. By contrast, the Dell Mini 9, or let's say for argument's sake the $300 netbook form factor, is in my opinion 2X as useful as the iPad at 1/2 the cost.
That makes the M001 1/12 as useful as a netbook at 2/3 the cost, and that feels about right.

Pros: The device has a nice screen and feels pretty solid. It has a regular 3.5mm headphone plug and runs Android 1.6. The internal Wifi gets good reception and even the g-sensor works as expected in games. Lots of apps available and has most essential tools already pre-installed. Web surfing is reasonable fast, although scrolling takes some training.
Cons: - Low quality power adapter failed after 1st use
- Processor only 350Mhz, meaning the unit could be faster
- Video playback is virtually none
- Battery time is only 2-3 hrs
Other: Got this as a geek toy and I am not disappointed. I didn't expect anything great for $100 but for that price the unit delivers. I use it to surf the web in bed and listen to Rhapsody, for which the unit works just fine.

Pros: When There are only a few apps and the product has the latest updates, the item works fast and surprisingly well. Screen is responsive enough for a cheap tablet and web browsing is fun and pretty fast considering the specs.
Cons: The Screen resolution makes for badly dithered backgrounds, images and videos. Sometimes the touch function is either slow or way too fast to accurately move throughout navigation home or on the web within the browser. There is no flash support so many of our favorite video and audio sites simply will not work. (there are apps however)
Also wifi is extremely odd when it comes to determining if it will connect. the range is pretty low.
Other: At the price I paid and for all of its functions I find the tablet to be a good pocket pc for around town, trips,or just away from your desktop at home.
Dont expect an Ipad at these prices, you will however get a perfectly usable android device that can surf the web, view pics, act as an alarm, skype, music, and videos.

Pros: Met the postal worked in the driveway, I was impressed by the fast shipping, <6 days. The M-001 is light weight and easy to handle, seems solid. The screen is nice, easy reading for the most part. It worked right out of the box and had a 50% charge. WIFI setup was easy, not any different than any other wireless toy. All the apps installed seem to work. I keep hearing about the battery life but was able to get over 2 hours with WiFi on.
Cons: Android Apps market not supported, but their are others our their. No flash, some hesitation on rotation, but I can live with it.
Definitely need another e-book reader, the apps it has just does not cut it, found one called Aldiko and works very well, also have an online library with free stuff - I like free.
Also dolphin browser seem to be a little better than the built in one.
Other: For less than $100.00 US I like it, so if you want to pay Steve Job or Bill Gates more money have at it, that it what a free market is for, of course I will buy the next good Windows 7 tablet too, but I am just a "techno-nerd".
By the way DX is an awesome place to buy things, I am glad I found them, they now have a book mark in my heart!

Pros: Mobile Internet browsing is nice on the 7" screen.
Documents to Go works very well at opening/creating/editing Office files.
Screen is bright.
Decent build quality.
Buttons feel solid and are placed well.
Android is an "open" OS with lots of apps and developer support.
Cons: A tad slow.
Minimal flash.
AC adapter is garbage.
Comes loaded with a little to much software.
Specs are misleading. It's a 300Mhz processor bumped to 350Mhz
Gets a little warm when charging.
LED's are very bright.
Other: Well worth the money, but don't expect this to replace, or even come close to replacing any kind of Windows/MacOS/*nix computer/laptop/netbook.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: 1. Great value for the money.
2. Speaker/sound is actually pretty good.
3. Nice light unit.
Cons: 1. Power adapter died after 5 minutes. (very common)
2. Has some Chinese apps installed that I can't get rid of.
3. Top to bottom scrolling takes a lot of time to get used to.
Other: Good value for the money, nice cheap step up for future name brand tablets or iPad.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: It's cheap, nice size, not too heavy, reasonable collection of pre-installed apps.
Cons: No scroll button and scrolling on-screen is tricky, unit doesn't go to "sleep" so you need to shutdown Android when you're done otherwise the battery bleeds dry, touchscreen is not very responsive to finger touches, wi-fi not that sensitive, rotation sensor doesn't always work. In my unit the screen is mounted at an angle, top is offset about 3mm from bottom.
Other: It's a nice toy for what it costst, but I'm not going to use it as serious browser or tablet. I'm sure I'll find a use for it one day.
