Pros: Turns any lens into a Macro lens. Easy to use and can be used in different configurations.
Can't beat this price :)
Cons: The cons aren't specific to the DX product but apply to all of these low-end tubes:
- With Canon you cannot set the aperture with the lens on these tubes (see other thoughts)
- No AF
- Small focus range with the long tubes
- How tight should you screw the rings together???
For this one specific:
- No red dot on the front Canon adapter
- Lens will fit on 2 ways
Other: Fun to experiment with and will be in my bag for "the ring" shots at weddings. A low, low, low budget solution but works fine.

Pros: Great price from DX as per usual
Good feel to these, not too cheap
Now you can take REALLY close up pictures!
Cons: No caps, but hey DX sell those too!
No Autofocus, but hey your a REAL photographer remember?
Other: BUY THEM! so much cheaper than genuine cannnon parts!

Pros: I was waiting for this item long time ago, with the hope that DX has it avaliable!!!
The build quality is good enough to an amateur photographer, remember that this is not a professional tool, it is just a set of tubes that helps you to make good maro-photography.
Using the top distance, the focus distance is very very close, and if you are using a good lense, and good lighting, the pictures are good.
Cons: The EOS mounts in to the lens side has no blocking, so you have to grap the tubes when you want to change the lens, if not, instead of taking out the lens you will take out the tube thread.
Other: Good buy in DX

Pros: Metal instead of plastic. The fit is pretty good. Does what it says- lift the lens off the film/sensor so you can focus closer.
Cons: No dust caps. I have some, but if they were included, it would have been better.
Other: Know why these have a lot of 5's? They are worth it. If you have a slr or a dslr, these little guys work great. I have a lot of lenses that have horrible minimun focusing distances, but this fixes that. Thanks, DX!

Pros: A cheap way to start making macro photo's! 3 sizes of tube that you can combine to fit a particular lens. My 70-200 L can use all tubes together and still focus, normal focus distance 120cm, now in front of lens! My 17-50 tamron has a minimum focus distance of 27 cm or so, with ring 1&2 combined i can also get all the way up to the front element!
Cons: None for the money, if you want autofocus get the real expensive ones that have electronic contacts.
Other: No-brainer, get these and start making pictures! Great way to see if you like macro or not!

Pros: - Cheap way to try macro without a dedicated macro lens or lens filters.
- Well made, constructed of metal and feels like it is fairly durable.
- Good solid fit. This really provides confidence when you have your lens attached to them!
Cons: - Both the camera end and the lens end of the tubes are machined very tightly. They don't fit smoothly like a lens but are very snug. Given this, I am reluctant to use this ring with any lens with a plastic mount (such as my Canon 50mm 1.8).
- This comes with a single sheet of instructions written entirely in Chinese.
- Doesn't come with a case/bag or end caps. Other reviews mentioned this also so I picked up some end caps (http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.8681) when I ordered these.
- No electrical contacts means wide open aperture and only manual focus. Combined with the close distance , the depth of field is razor thin on a big aperatures such as 1.8 or 2.8.
Other: Having never tried macro, I was very surprised at the results I could get in terms of magnification, even just using 2 of the 3 sections. As a newbie to macro, it was quite confusing to try to figure out how to get the picture in focus given the really thin depth of field.
However, it's still a great introduction to macro, especially given the price.

Pros: This thing is cheap, but built quite well. I have produced some nice pics with my 50 1.8 and the 18-55 using a flash light or the 430ex on wide (around. No glass means no deterioration of image quality!
Cons: Just be careful mine had metal shavings left over inside from machining.
No contacts means you have no control over aperture, sorta (read my other thoughts)
Other: Great deal and easy way to get into macro photography, just buy it!!

Pros: 5/5, why? It does what it should do.
My focuspoint is way closer. With my 50-500 Sigma "bigma" lens at 50mm the focus is so close the item will hit the lens, haha! It makes all my lenses really nice to use for macro. The sharpness of your lens won't be lose.
Focussing happends through zooming, focussing itself is lost. This can be quite funny and something to get used to. Still it's not a bad thing. You want your shot as close as possible anyway.
The build is great, metal and when used properly this will not break. When it does: threat your stuff better!
Cons: Autofocus is not supported but on the otherhand that's not a REAL con, perhaps for some people. Autofocus on macro is something for the macro dedicated lenses.
Other: Superb product to increase your range of possibilities of Canon EOS products. Got an EOS (digital) cam? Order without ANY hessistation, now.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: Exellent workmanship, very precisely manufactured. Works as it should be.
Cons: All instructions came in either chinese or japanese. One star omitted because of that. If you keep macro adapters too loosely screwed, they may open as you zoom (=focus) your lens. It nearly happened to me, but luckily no damage occurred.
Other: This is very good value bargain. If you don't have spare caps, order them as well, this comes without any caps.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: The fittings are quite nice, clicks nicely to the camera and the objective. Adjustable length. Cheap, nice quality for the price. Easy to get used to macrophotography.
Cons: Can shave off some plastic from plastic mount lenses. Perhaps the lens fittings are a bit rough. Cannot be used with fish-eye lenses, the focus area goes inside the lens :D You lose manual focus and aperture control when using this.
Other: A cheap way to test if you like macro shots. I can recommend.
