Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: Is as described
Cons: Threads are a bit tinny
Other: Couldnt test it as I have EOS camera
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: -Fits Canon EF -All metal -Have locking in both ends
Cons: -No electrical contacts, but I already knew that
-Little flex/play, really not a problem
Other: Really nice for this price!
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: - Price: The rings are very cheap, as opposed to the full-feature rings you can get in the aftermarket. Even taken the fact that there are some differences maybe (see Cons) this is not a real problem in most cases.
Cons: - no autofocus
- no diaphragm adaption. (always full open)
- Locking of the lens feels a bit fragile.
- Overall it feels a bit fragile. At first i thought it was plastic. It looks like all metal though, but it doesn't feel like you want to throw it around
- no covers, so it might get some dust inside.
Other: You want this. No really, you do.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: You can't beat the price considering the canon extension tubes probably cost around $150. Not much to them so they are easy to use. They are indeed metal. There are three tubes that you can use individually or stack them in different combinations.
Cons: No electrical contacts so forget about auto focus and changing the aperture. Instructions are in simplified Chinese.
Other: If you want to do macro then quit thinking about it ya cheapskate. Get the darn tubes already. You'll be happy.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: - inexpensive!
- all metal construction
- light
- seems strong enough
Cons: - rings aren't quite aligned properly, some are offset a little
- locking nub for the lens side is pretty flimsy and loose
- tubes can start unscrewing when you twist the zoom ring on a zoom lens
Other: Despite the cons, which are more like quirks, these are great little macro extension tubes. Get them and have fun with macro!

Pros: Cheap, works quite well on Canon EF or EF-S mounts.
Build quality was surprisingly decent, no rough edges, etc.
Cons: "manual" (single page on rice paper) is in Chinese.
There is a screw in the ring closest to the camera body. Mine fell out. I think it prevents you from mounting the rings incorrectly (touches a metal tongue inside the mount).
I'd probably recommend removing it.
My L lens (yea yea) doesn't seem to want to lock all the time. I think it's the weight of the lens rather than anything mechanical
Other: For the price, just buy it.
Even though the "manual" is in Chinese, it doesn't matter.
My Simple Manual -
1. Stick it on, use the red dots for proper alignment.
2. Set your lens to max zoom
3. Set focus on "closest" and move in / out to get a rough distance
4. Tweak focus by moving closer/further or using the MF dial.
5. Snappy snappy.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: 1. Cheap
2. Did I mention cheap?
3. Easy to use (simply put your Camera in Aperture-Priority [Av] mode)
Cons: 1. Feels cheap too.
2. No electrical contacts (though there's more than one work-around)
3. Requires a LOT of light (but that's the price you pay for macrophotography)
Other: This is a great, inexpensive way to be introduced to Macrophotography. It opens a world where there are miniscule details you wouldn't have noticed at any other time.
Happy shooting!

Pros: Its made of metal and there are lots of options in when using it with your different lenses. Price is great. Works well. Fits snugly on both ends but not to where you can't take it off. It feels sturdy and solid, not flimsy at all. Nice black color.
Cons: It's not the Canon brand. Mine didn't come with any instructions, but it's pretty straightforward enough. Metal rings fit a bit snugly but not enough so that I feel it will get stuck. (Just don't screw them in too hard.)
It took about a month to receive, but hey, shipping was "free".
Other: Works great and a great price. As soon as I saw this, I had to grab it. The metal body feels nice to have instead of it being plastic. If I ever lose this, I'm definitely going to get myself another one. =]
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: Well built.
Sturdy threads keep everything attached.
Light weight, yet strong (made of aluminum or similar alloy).
Easy to use.
Cons: Lock for lens feels a little cheap but is perfectly functional.
Other: You can't beat the price and the build quality is quite good! One of the best deals on DealExtreme.
A must have for anyone who knows anything about macro photography.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: Inexpensive, all metal construction and works as advertised. Build quality is better than it looks in the product images.
Cons: Red dot markings to align lens mount could be better positioned (in the lens barrel instead of mount flange). No white dot to align EF-S lenses. No electrical contacts for focus confirmation or aperture control.
Other: This is an alternative to the much more expensive dedicated macro lens, as long as you don't need autofocus and aperture control, and can live with some distortion and chromatic aberrations. Overall it's a well-built, light and fun accessory for macro photography on a budget.
