Pros: Good quality jumper wires. Length is enough for most situations. 10 different colors (4x10).

Cons: Didn't find any negative moments yet.

Other: These long-awaited jumper wires are very useful. Passed more than a year before they appeared here on DX after male to male jumpers. Delivered in three weeks to Russian Federation.

  • Useful to extend PC case led wires

posted by UncleScrooge on 03:24:03 G10T 30/10/2012 certificated customer

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: The reason I bought this, is that I had to extend the front panel led wires in my PC case to get them reach the connectors in the motherboard. I didn't want to cut and solder the wires, so I found this product, and it works for my needs quite well. The ends of this cable fit very well in both the motherboard connectors and the led wires. It is easy to separate the amount of wires you need from this. I did separate 2 pairs of black+white wires to extend 2 led wires, and saved the rest for some similar future needs. Quality looks like ok, as far as I know anything about this kind of products.

Cons: Hard to say really. I know nothing about pricing of this kind of items, but I believe the price could be lower.

Other: It was actually kind of hard to find a product to extend the pc case led wires to motherboard, so it was a good to find this.

Pros: These are great. Have made my Arduino experience so much easier. I bought a ton of modules from DX (IR receivers, temperature, etc.) and these allow me to just snap these right onto Arduino. They're great quality, you can feel that they form a tight fit with Arduino and module pins.

Cons: They can be a bit short for your needs. On the upside, they can be "daisy-chained" together to form a wire as long as you need.

Other: Definitely buy these. For the price, they make your life so much easier. Free shipping never hurts, either!

  • Handy 'duino jumper wires

posted by extremeFarmer on 20:15:09 G11T 19/11/2012 certificated customer

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: Wires come attached to each other so if you only use one, you don't have a big mess. Multi-colored is also handy. The wires are a good length.

Cons: There is only one length of wire.

Other: I like 'em. It's good to have some M-M, F-M and F-F wires in my 'duino toolbox and these jumpers are an important part of that box.

  • handy wires for electronics diy project

posted by Jappa on 05:20:39 G11T 23/11/2012 certificated customer

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: Good for DIY projects, because the ribbon wires are attached to each other you can just rip of a set of three for example to connect a servo or potentiometer. Makes the chaos of loose wires a bit more neatly.

Cons: The male end is not super rigid, so try not to bend it. (I already broke a few)

Other: Very convenient product in DIY project, not supercheap though affordable.

  • Good cables for DIY low voltage projects

posted by operation on 03:26:18 G12T 15/12/2012 certificated customer

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: -These cables are relatively cheap. -Easy connecting to breadboards. -Easy to connected to arduino's -Easy to solder in place on a circuit board. -The female headers work perfectly with SKU: 144191 -The cables are more durable then soldering your own cable to a header and using heat shrink together. -Cables are joined, but can easily be pulled apart if needed

Cons: -For some projects I find the 20cm to long(but these where the shortest I could find with this configuration.

Other: Cheap and good cable for low-voltage/arduino projects

  • Handy for Launchpads and similar

posted by zinob on 06:58:41 G12T 16/12/2012 certificated customer

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: - OK build quality - really handy for breaking out male connectors, such as the ones on an TI-launchpad to a breadboard.

Cons: Build quality is not GREAT. not failed me so far and with no less than 40-cables it is not a big issue if one or two breaks.

Other: Also handy for in circuit programming. Remember to solder a few female .100-pitch connectors on to the circuit-board and plug it right from your Launchpad programmer. (on MSP430s use the GND, RST and TEST wires)

  • Regolar dupont cable

    posted by ranaur2 on 15:45:02 G12T 18/12/2012 certificated customer

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: The colors of the cable follows the resistor-color code convention (black, brown, red, orange, yellow, green, blue, volet, grey, white). I use it to connect arduino boards to external devices.

Cons: One of the points came loose. Sometimes the black points falls off. It works. It would be nice to have some way to "glue" the conectors together.

Other: Buy it if you need. Pay attention to male-female versions of the cable.

  • Well-built economical jumper wires

posted by amujunen on 05:06:48 G12T 31/12/2012 certificated customer

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: - Constructed from flexible ribbon cable, so you can separate the desired number of wires and keep them tidily together. - Reasonable-quality pins and socket connectors. - Connectors can be used at 2.54mm spacing, i.e. the black plastic casings are not too big.

Cons: - A bit short, 30cm (instead of 20cm) would be more versatile. - Cannot think of any other cons...

Other: Useful and multi-purpose jumper wires and ad-hoc multi-wire connections at an economical price.

  • Reliable connectors, good length

posted by wheezardth on 08:47:27 G1T 14/01/2013 certificated customer

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: This band cable is awesome. The different colors make it so easy to differentiate signal lines when wiring and breadboarding! I liked them so much, that I built some in permanently in one of my projects. The connectors are crimped, and very reliable - hold up also to soldering/desoldering if you need them for ex. as more permanent test points. Saves a whole lot of hassle when connecting external devices with 2.5mm headers to breadboards, or especially Arduinos.

Cons: Hardly any. I'd buy more if they were a bit less expensive, but my bundle is not anywhere near to being used up.

Other: Buy a set. It's extremely handy, and it's for 1/4 the price of what you'd pay at other electronics suppliers.
