Pros: Right out of the box (and it does come in a proper box), this knife was fully adjusted and ready to work. THIS IS AN ASSISTED-OPENING KNIFE. So it is even more important that the pivot be adjusted properly or one of 2 things happens: either the blade is too tightly held for the assist to function, or the blade is so loose as to wiggle about. Neither was true on this knife. Perfectly adjusted, it snaps open and locks up solidly, with no wiggle in the blade or slop in the lock. All-in-all, pretty fair. It has solid aluminum handles finished in a nice matte black. the blade is designed for slicing and was reasonably sharp as delivered. There is a blade lock on the spine just behind the Carson flipper. When engaged, there is absolutely no was that blade is coming out. Of course the down-side is if you forget the lock is on and need to open it quickly, it won't happen.
Cons: The lock is very stiff and will take some time to break in. Oil it and it improves somewhat. Personally, I wouldn't bother with it, unless you are prone to accidentally opening it in your pocket and slicing yourself. If you engage the lock after the blade opens, you can only close the blade about half way, and then the assist tries to re-deploy. Pay attention or you may slice your hand if this happens.
Other: Buy it, but make sure of your import laws. Some countries have no sense of humor and frown on assisted-opening knives.

Pros: very solid body and lock system , cool assist open system ,
ridiculous price for the quality!
very speed delivery to france ( about one week only)
Cons: the shut down system is a bit hard to push on it, beware of fingers during closing the blade,
Other: another very good product from shuangrong company
, seems to be as perfect as some knives about 30$

Pros: + Soild construction, there are no any plays in screws of knife
+ Reliable liner-lock
+ This knife has "assist to open system"!!!
+ Fine (brutal!) exterior!
+ Handle covers are great in wet hands.
+ Clip is useful for me!
+ Blade can be locked with security purposes against random opening.
Cons: - Habit needs to work with knife
- It is bit hard to move liner-lock when knife is closed.
- Be careful with your fingers first time, but it is not big cons. It is matter of habitation only!
Other: All of my friends have been impressed with it.
If you need to make a gift for someone, this sku will be the great solution!
Color box is great too for such purposes.
I have recommended this item to my friends.
The same products is more expensive in our region.

Pros: Very solid construction
Has a very nice weight to it
One screw in the whole thing!
Opens very nicely, almost like theres a spring in it.
Looks very nice
Has a belt clip on it
comes with a pouch
passed Canadian customs no problem
Very sharp knife!
Cons: The pouch that came with it hooks the belt clip on the knife really easily, it will get stuck in it, and its hard to get back out.
Other: If you want a cheap knife that looks amazing, get this. Just don't cut yourself!

Pros: The lock is good enough that it took me a few minutes to figure it out. DOH.
Although some have called it, "assist to open" mine seems to be normal.
The look is good, and certainly has a bit of flair to the styling!
I always appreciate a pouch with my knifes.
Cons: None, really. It seems to live up to the ratings it's receiving so far. (Insert traditional warning here about the known dangers of sharp objects.)
Other: A solid DealExtreme deal that will not disappoint.

Pros: When I received this knife I was so impressed with it that I immediately ordered two more! PLEASE READ ON. The blade was thick and sharp as a razor. The look and finish was top notch. The opening mechanism is very good. A simple push of the thumb stud or the lower finger guard will open the blade quickly. So why didn't I give it top ratings?
Cons: After a few openings I noticed that I could not get the blade to release. After examining the situation, I noticed the the locking mechanism would go all the way to the other side and wedge itself between the blade and the body/handle. I would have to pry it out with a screwdriver or coin. I think this is not a general design flaw, but rather a flaw with this unit only. Has anyone else experienced this problem?
Other: Read all reviews. If anyone else has the same problem, you may want to pass it by. Otherwise, it is well worth the price and is a very good quality knife.

Pros: First of all this knife I received is ASSISTED. It came in a box and pouch. Easy and quick to open because it is infact an assisted knife. Has a nice clip so you can put it on your belt or whatever you want with it. Finally, the blade was pretty good and I think you can stab someone more than once with it. (Don't test it on anyone)
Cons: After opening it couple of times little screws got very loose. I then tightened it but after opening it a few more times it got loose again but not as much. The blade came a little dull but you can obviously sharpen it. The knife got stuck in the pouch after my first time opening it. I had to cut it out. Oh well, it's just a pouch.
Other: You can't get a better bang for your buck. Buy it if you want a nice knife for cheap.

Pros: It's a compact, good looking knife with a nice feel to it. It's remarkably well made - I saw no build or quality issues with my knife and it even came pre-lubbed and sharpened so it's slick, quick and ready to go.
Cons: None really.
Other: I'm building an outdoor survival/hiking kit and I was planning on ordering a few more knives to see which one best fit the kit. This was the first one I got and I'll, most likely, order a few more.

Pros: Where do i start with the pros of an $8.60=£5.37 UK knife inc belt pouch,it arrived in a nice SR branded box, opened it up and slipped the pouch out inc belt loop which is decent quality, undid the velcro cover and took knife out (bit tight)the first thing that struck me was the weight which is reassuringly on the heavy side, nice black finish, well sprung belt clip, slide action safety button to stop knife which IS assisted from opening in pocket, solid lock,no wobble, nice thumb pressure area ribbed for grip and small stud each side of top blade, gorgeous blade, looks like it means business, very good/sharp edge and well designed side lock which is bent round at 90 degrees with a non slip bit to release lock, saves having to push thumb into knife body to release as with sku11617. all in all a lovely tool for the price.
Cons: Not much to gripe about here, a little oil would have been a nice touch, keep an eye on the little screw that holds the sliding release lock together-open knife and look in and you`ll see it a small cross head, i like to locktite all the screws on my knives as a matter of course and well worth the effort !no major cons !!
Other: Buy one asap if you want a good size ,quality knife that looks worth $60+ and is built to last, i know i`ll be getting another to go with my 2 11617`s,don`t make any mistake this is an assisted knife !
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: nice looking
Cons: i was expecting quite a knife, i was disappointed. the locking mechanism is very temperamental, and the knife opens very sluggish, in fact, my "non" assisted knifes open much faster, (even after being oiled) it only opens fully on the rare occasion.
Other: i will be downloading a short vid to show what i mean.
