Pros: No vignetting on my 50mm f1.8 mk II canon lens. Uses a screw mount. Well, this is my first experience with a lens hood, so I am not sure what the conventional lens hood mount is like. But this works pretty ok. Works very well to prevent lens flares and increase the saturation of my images on bright sunny days.
Cons: Because it uses a screw mount, it is not that convenient to be screwed on. In that, it means it's not as easy as 1-2-3 to screw the thing onto the lens. But you'll get used to it. Also, you cannot mount it the reverse way to store it in your camera bag.
Other: This one works just fine so get this for your 50mm today :)

Pros: It is a lens hood, it does as it should! It keeps the lens from direct sunlight when not wanted, and rain which is never wanted..:)
I use it on my Nikon 50mm f/1.8, and it fits like a glove..
Cons: The ring used to tighten and make the hood stay put in the correct orientation feels weak, but it holds for now..
Other: It is a lens hood, it does as it should! Buy one if you can't find a rubber version..

Pros: Nice camera lens hood. The price is really good, when used with my nikon d40 18-55 i can put the lens cap on the hood, looks really nice and well built. Will work with any 52mm lens.
Cons: Only cons would be that because its screw-on ( the original nikon lens hood snaps-on) you can't put any filters after the hood, and it takes long to put it on and get it off. With my 18-55 lens when I zoom out to 18mm the hood creates like a vignette .
Other: Well, you should really buy this if you need a good lens hood. It's really useful when taking photos on a sunny day. You can't beat the price.

Pros: This lens hood fits in particular my Canon 50mm lens. It is a solid build quality with a locking screw ring to keep it on the lens. As always DX has the best price on this item than anywhere else. One positive note - your lens cap should fit it. Mine does, it fits in the middle though its not perfect and can probably pop out on its own - it does fit it if you just want to be extra careful for a minute or two if you put your camera down.
Cons: None at all, it does what its supposed to do and is made relatively well.
Other: If you need a lens hood for your 50mm lens, get this one. If you dont know if you need one, look at your outdoor pics, look for glare and washed out pics... you probably need one.

Pros: - Pretty cheap for such quality
- No vignetting for standart-to-tele lenses (no quality reducing for my old soviet 135mm Jupiter-13A)
- Ring tightening works pretty well, the hood sits without any backlash.
Cons: - This hood can not be installed reversed - there is no transport position so you can only detach it from lens. However if your bag has enough of space just leave it attached.
- This mounting mechanism - at first you screw this hood to lens and then you adjust the ring. That is not too rapid.
Other: Though i prefer hoods that can be mounted reversed while transporting i have no regrets becouse this hood fits my needs (135mm manual lens) perfectly.

Pros: The sunshade is practical, simple and fairly inexpensive. A Great buy, and the quality quite like the big brands but much cheaper. A plastic buckle from very strong and very lightweight, compact yet this sunshade is very efficient and you can change the quantity of light just by turning it. He has a ring to catch the sun, it helps that when using a UV filter on the lens he continues fics. Its small size helps transport and to give leave to the already docked camera to be ready to use just perfect.
Cons: nothing.
Other: A great buy for a price simpleton. can trust

Pros: Fits well
Orientation is adjustable
Works fine with mij 50 mm f/1.8 lens
Cons: Getting it onto the lens is a precise work. Not very easy to put on and take off. Be careful not to damage your lens or uv filter (if you are using one) when putting the hood on or taking it off.
Other: A good product, probably the best at this price.

Pros: Nice article. good looking and cheap enought. Solid and well finished. Buen artículo, buen aspecto y razonablemente barato. Solido y bien terminado.
Cons: The skrew is not very good. If you pull from the hood it will separate without following the skrew. Anyway it's not really too important and works fine. La rosca no es muy buena. Si tiras de la visera se separa saliendose de la rosca. De todas formas, no es un problema demasiado importante y funciona bien.
Other: Altough the skrew is not very good it works fine. Don't think twice and get yours. Aunque la rosca no es la mejor, funciona bien. No te lo pienses dos veces y cómprate uno.

Pros: Fits well
- You can adjust it a little bit so hood stay on top, but can not adjust it too much, because it gets a little loose.
- I am using it with my canon 50 mm lens with 52 mm diameter.
- Fits perfectly on my lenses UV filter.
Cons: Not so easy to put it on straight at first, but you get used to it and it is not a big problem.
Other: A good product and of course - the best price.
