Pros: Fitting this onto a near SLR, especially coupled with SKU 6316 gives your camera a nice, professional appearance. It should also provide a little more shading when shooting in bright daylight (high sun) conditions.
Cons: This is a plastic piece, so no guesses as to the durability. For the price, though, it should be worth the money. On my daughter's Canon S5 IS it makes it a little too large for her camera bag and also no longer allows the camera to sit "flat" on a surface.
Other: Nice deal... I'm happy with it and so is my daughter. Well worth the money!

Pros: decent sized lens hood for your canon s3 or s5 cameras with lens tubes.
Cuts lens flare when shooting in sunlight.
protection for your filter and lens.
long threads with a tightening ring so you can match the orientation of the hood after x number of turns over your filter.
Cons: the plastic threads are not smooth and sometimes are hard to attach to the filters, the tightening ring seems to get loose and has a click to its turns, sounds like im going to snap it.
Other: its a useful object for your camera bag, really makes your camera look good as well as helps minimize reflections due to flare.
get it as the canon oem product is plastic as well and doesnt look as nice either!
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: It's cheap, but well made, hard plastic. Fits perfectly 58 mm diameter lenses
Cons: think the adjustable ring is gonna break in any moment (but it is not very weak, eh?).
Also, it's a bit difficult to adjust it to a filter (easier to put over the lens directly)
Other: Really cheap, compare with the originals from camera´s manufacturer... and qith exactly the same added value
nothing more to say.

Pros: For me it is great product. Normaly these things cost about 30-60$ in my country. So it is great savings for me. I bought it just because most of my lenses has 58mm filter threads. Can be used without the tightening ring, snugg fit to my 58mm threads.
Cons: First thing what I noticed after unpacking this item was that the edges are quite sharp and unfinished. Seacond notice was that the tightening ring that should be screwed in opposite direction towards the lens was quite flimsy. In future I'm going to put that ring aside and just screw the lenshood without it to lens.
Other: If you are in need of good lenshood for cheap price just buy it.

Pros: - very durable. feels professional.
- does what it is supposed to do
- looks good
Cons: The lens hood is NOT made for wide angle! It WILL block your lens' view if your lens is set at 24mm or lower angles. At wider angle, the lens hood will block your lens' view and you will be left with black shadows on your photos.
- the adjusting ring is not very solid and it's not possible to screw it tightly.
- petal flower shape is not very effective for ultra zoom lenses.
Other: I would recommend this product to everyone

Pros: This lens hood feels very great, is made out of hard plastic that is very durable. It fits my lens very well. The build quality is very good to be this cheap. Very easy to attach to your lens. It really does the work.
It much cheaper then other brands that costs 4 times as much.
Cons: I dont got any cons for this product. It works great.
Other: This lens hood is really great. I really recommend this for everyone. And this is very very cheap. But as said in another review dont use on wide angles where the hood will block the lens. Great buy

Pros: Very professional looking, build quality is very good and comparable to the original product and price is cheaper than any other hoods for Canon lens.
Fits onto the 55-250 IS lens made by Canon. Fits perfectly inside the camera bag side pockets.
Cons: Tricky to get it screwed onto the lens. I needed a few trys to get it lined up.
Other: Would recommend to anyone who wants a lens hood. Try getting the other ones made for Canon for the best results.

Pros: Amazing product, looks lite the original Canon hood Fit perfectly into any 58mm diameter lens You can use together the filters without any problem The internal finish is matte and increase photo contrast Reduce flair
Cons: In canon case, Since this lens hood are attached on the lens ring, you always need to adjust the lens hood since the lens hood is attached into focus lens, but this is the unique cons for this product that i can check
Other: If you want a ultra versatile lens hood, that can be attached in any 58mm diameter lens, buy this one. Recommened.

Pros: They work very well.
Look like a professional expensive lens hood.
The plastic is hard and almost impossible to break from falling.
Cons: It's a little hard to perfect adjust the screw. But after some time you get it.
Other: Its a flower lens hood. They aren't so common and are very expensive.
If you need one, grab this one.

Pros: This is a great lens hood. I think it does what it supposed to do and helps to protect your lens from straches. It fits perfect all my 58mm lens. It has a nice built quality, looks exactly like the expensive ones. It feels very durable. And it gave my lens a "professional" look.
Cons: As you can imagine, it's not that easy to screw this onto the lens. You will probably take more than 10 seconds to do this, maybe 30...
Other: If you want/need a lens hood, i recommend this one.
