Pros: - Comes with everything as described. - The Price (considering auto electricians will charge 60-80 dollars australian to look at your car for an hour) - Recognised my car (2005 Mazda 2) - Good size manual detailing its uses. - Carry bag has a handle on the top. - Good cable length, about 1.5m (5')
Cons: - It is larger than I thought. But at least I can't miss it when I'm working on cars.
Other: My engine light came on and my car wasn't advancing the 'distributor' anymore. So after purchasing this it said the fault was 'P0327 knock sensor 1, circuit low bank 1 or single sensor'. The knock sensor was $70 from mazda. Unit and sensor = $146. Mazda price to replace, $250. Well worth the money. Plus I can help friends with their cars now....and maybe charge a carton on the side for the help :D

Pros: It really works. The price is reasonable. The instructions/manual is clear.
Cons: The scanner did not want to turn on and work using the inner battery (9V) though it should work with it. Finally it works only when connected to the car.
Other: So, the thing worth its price. It is very useful.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: Comes with full package like on photos. Very good build quality. Works perfectlly and fast enougth.
Cons: Tested on: Citroen Berlingo 2006 1.4 Citroen C5 2002 2.0 Opel Vectra C 2002 2.2 Opel Signum 2003 2.2DTI Renault Vel Satis 2001 2.0t Nissan Primera 2001 2.0TD No problems with reading DTC codes, showing live data.
Other: Good purchace for this price, especially if you want to fix your car, your friends cars and maybe neighbors cars
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: easy to use first first time. Deteted code right aways and I was able to reset it till I get the parts for it. The tool Is great for the weekend mechanic. that pesky Check engine light will be no match for this machine. It as an easy to real scheen. Come with UBS cable to get updates.
Cons: not being a certified technician will be a draw back but with the internet and asking around you will fin help
Other: In my country it cost 125-140 dollars, so this buy was a great one
Bottomline:
Good purchace for this price, especially if you want to fix your car, your friends cars and maybe neighbors cars
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: Complete set : it came with a carry bag, cables and a manual. The Can bus cable is easy to attach to the scanner and the car. It supports multiple languages within the scanner itself so no firmware flashing needed. Menus are set up easy and understandable resetting a check enige light can be done fairly quick. Reading a fail code is just a small step further
Cons: You can insert a 9V battery for use without the cable, but somehow the scanner does not turn on with it. Not a real problem just a little wierd.
Other: Easy to use cheap scanner, the same scanner cost around 130 dollar here in the Netherlands
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: - Clears Check Engine Light - Extensive code database - Real time data - Can print code - large display - back lit display - Ease of use, did not have to read manual to operate the unit - Comes with case to keep it and cables in - Comes with OBD II and PC link cables
Cons: - Lack of support from manufacturer - Display is not centred properly in unit. - Lack of drivers for Windows 7
Other: Great value for money, good for back yard mechanics and other non professionals.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: Great price (compared to getting it at Canadian Tire or Princess Auto). Never even looked at the instruction manual. Bought it for my sister's 2006 GMC Jimmy b/c her Check Engline Light kept coming on and she kept paying $75 to mechanic each time to check it out. Plugged right in, allowed to reset all alerts and PRESTO, no Check Engine Light has come on since. If it did, then I would send it in for repairs if alert came back. Works perfectly for my 2001 Cheverolet Malibu and my Dad's 2010 Montana.
Cons: Abosolutely none.
Other: Excellent investment if you want to know why your Check Engine Light is on
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: Very solid build, easy to use just connect it to the car and go. Quality of the cable is ok for regular use. With this you do not need the car dealer to check these special engine sensors like the mass airflow sensor. In the past I went to the car dealer with an engine fault and than they usually replaced the most expensive sensor in the car but now i can check this myself. This can save me a lot of money
Cons: Did not find any yet. it does wat it is suppost to do.
Other: good tool for the DIY car engineer.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: Above my expectation, great and fast reader. Tested on Volkswagen, BMW, Audi, Seat various type. Reads all engine management data. Live data update speed just set perfectly. Monitors oxygen sensor parameters. displays in chart. reads out common Airbag and all other stuffs data. Cable length is just enough. Supplied whit good handy bag for carrying everywhere.
Cons: Can be supplied whit bigger display. Just to reads the O2 sensor graph.
Other: Great product for this value and reads very fast the data.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: Wow! That is a great product that works on every car I've tried. Excellent on my Mazda Protege ES 2.0l 2001. Also on my neighbors with other Japanese cars - Honda, Toyota etc - all manufactured after 1999. Nice and complete set in a pouch. Clear instruction manual.
Cons: Not really.
Other: A must have product. You know what's wrong with your car and can go ahead ordering parts online where there a cheaper. ;)
