Memory Heat Spreader

Pros: - Looks and weights like copper - A nice shiny finish - Sturdy clips (they are copper-coloured but copper ones would be too soft and these ones give quite a steely feel)

Cons: none that I know

Other: Honestly, I am not sure if it's of any use because my memory doesn't feel hot at all, but if you have to use some kind of cooling for your ram then this is probably the best you can get.

Pros: - Very easy to install even without instructions: just remove the tape from the thermal adhesive, put the memory in between and clip the whole thing together with the clips.
- Doesn't take much space: won't block adjacent memory slots.

Cons: - The only install instruction you get is the text on the tape on the thermal adhesive: "please tear it, before using"
- The build quality isn't exactly the best. The metal sheets are quite thin and they bend easily.

Other: Cheap and easy to install.

Pros: Its really cheap! Similiar Nexus ones cost 4x more! The only difference beetween this and the nexus copper model is that the nexus one has the big nexus logo.
It looks good! Its really shiny and makes your ugly memory modules look cool
It feels like its fully copper. I though it was copper plated aluminium, but it feels quite heavy
It has a soft heat conductive sticker type pad on each side.

Cons: If you have two modules installed side by side (AKA in 1st + 2nd slots or in 3rd + 4th slots), there isnt much air space beetween the two heatspreaders and that might cause some heat issues.

Other: If you want to make your computer look cool or you are an overclocker and your RAMs are running hot, this is a good budget choise.

Pros: It is very easy to figure out how to install it. Just prepare your ram by removing any stickers and carefully cleaning the chips with isopropyl alcohol. Then simply pull of the paper to expose the sticky side of the tape and place it on your ram, being careful to get it right the first time as trying to pull it off and reapply it may ruin your card. Also leave enough room for your card to fit into your boards memory slot.
P.S: The tape really is thermally conductive. Its the same stuff some folks use for cpu heatsinks.

Cons: It scratches very easily, and is simply made of anodized aluminum. Its price could be cheaper seeing as you can get copper plated one ( which I thought this one to be) for the same price on other sites.

Other: It ok, just not the best deal. It makes your computer look cooler.

Pros: They will make your RAM look really cool. They will also suck out the heat fairly effectively too.

Cons: I've heard they are difficult/impossible to remove without damaging the RAM, but then again, why would you want to remove them?

Other: If your looking for cheap spreaders that work, these are the ones to get. Paying more for the same thing is just ridiculous.

Pros: This is definitely aluminum. I have some pure copper ones and these are significantly lighter which means they are aluminum. Price is good compared to copper but may not cool as well.

Cons: If you have never installed ram coolers before you may have trouble. It's Aluminum and not copper so it may not cool as effectively.

Other: Good price for what it is.

Pros: Good price for a memory heat spreader. Nice colour and finishing.
Good thermal tape to fix the RAM module to the heat spreader.

Cons: It's no cooper.It's aluminium and it has less thermal efficiency.
No instructions or graphics.
The clips are difficult to unmount and can scratch your spreaders.

Other: Good price.Nice and cool visual effect. Good choice.

Pros: ok product. diverts some of the heat from ram onto the heat spreader. looks nice in your case as well when you have enough of them. great for window cases.

Cons: if you are serious about memory cooling, you probably want to stay away from this. this is primarily for looks, rather than cooling. you can probably get a better result from sticking a fan directly on top of your memory. the thick tape doesnt help its cause.

Other: decent product, but you get what you pay for. primarily for looks rather than actual performance. probably best to try mount a 40x40 fan on top of the heatspreaders for best result

Pros: Looks cool.
Easy to use. Protects the ram from scratches or. Gets warm. Which means it get the heat from the chips onto this heat spreader.

Cons: You could remove the painting from this heat spreader with only your nails. If your fingernails are too short, try you toe nails.

Other: Bought 2 of these. Tested them. Were pleased. Made another order with 6 more and hopefully I'll get more pleased.
With other words, you should get 'em!
Even if they might cool your ram with only 1-5%, that's worth it for this price.

Pros: looks cool on the ram. i bought two beacuse i have 2 slots of ram. very cheap and usefulness beacuse it get warm(its take it from the ram). fit in 100 percent on ddr2 and other rams.

Cons: must remove the sticker from the memory heatspreader if not its just warm the ram. this is not realy memory cooler its just to looks good.

Other: if you want it buy it!XD i want to buy the blue but this is cheaper and its not so metter to me.
