Other Features Directly import photos Videos to iPad Using Camera's USB Cable, SD Card or Micro SD Card. The Connection Kit supports standard photo formats such as JPEG & RAW etc. USB interface: Plug the connection into the dock connector port of your iPad and then attach your digital camera or iPhone using a USB cable, or import photos to iPad through USB flash disk, SD / Micro SD card reader interface: Plug the connection into the dock connector; After you make the connection, your iPad automatically opens the Photos App, which lets you choose which pictures to import, then organizes the selected photos into albums. Also supports USB keyboard, camera, mouse, etc. When sync iPad to your PC or Mac, the photos in your iPad are added to your computer's image library. The pictures need to be saved in named "DCIM" folder. The digital camera will create "DCIM" folder automatically, but if USB flash disk, you need to create "DCIM" folder and copy manually.     Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

    Pros: Light, small, cheap product thats easy to carry with you when traveling. It's easy to use, just plug in your SD-card/camera USB cable and import your photos.

    Cons: I suspect the 8 pin connector can pretty easily break if inserted and then bent, so pay attention when it's connected.

    Other: This is a great quality product that I can fully recommend and the price just makes it very affordable compared to original connector which is four times the price.

  • Good replacement for official Apple devices, sleek, well built

    Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

    Pros: Replaces functionality of two Apple devices - the Apple SD card reader (which does not read Micro SD), and the Apple USB Camera Connector. Connector is well constructed. And the lightning connector is very study and made of metal.

    Cons: The SD slot is very tight, and I had to shave it a bit so that a paper label on the SD didn't get torn.

    Other: Got an iPad and a proper camera? You want this.

  • Works fine, same as the apple kit

    Pros: I bought this to use in my armoury of travel kit when abroad so rather than taking a laptop I could back photos up on the iPad. It works fine, exactly the same as the Apple kit but a fraction of the price.

    Cons: Probably an apple restriction but it needs all photos to be in the \DCIM folder and the USB port will not take a memory stick because of the current drain. The web is a bit full of this restriction for the official camera connection kit. Google suggests the filenames need to be 8.3 only.

    Other: Not a lot to fault here, so long as future iOS releases don't stop it working!

    Pros: Nice quality, much more cheaper than apple's original camera-to-ipad adapter, works very well, can input sd-card or camera with usb cable and its a big PLUS!

    Cons: i really cant find any cons, lets see by the time how long it will last :)

    Other: I would definitely recommend this product to my friends who would like to see photos on their ipad while traveling around the globe!
