Pros: Lightweight, accurate, has alarm and clock so your workout doesn't make you late for appointments. Batteries are cheap and easy to find.

Cons: None whatsoever!

Other: This is the same quality and features os some units costing $30 or more. Can't beat it!

Pros: Light weight and easy to use.

Cons: Too big to be a keychain. It took quite some time (@15-20s) for a readout. The reading not really accurate. The alarm sound is rather soft (same as those digital watch).

Other: Buy it if you got additional money to spend.

Pros: With fresh batteries the pulse reading is quite good.

Cons: Arrived with flat ~1.1v batteries. Clock works with flat batteries but pulse reading is very erratic. No warning that battery is too low for reliable pulse reading.

Other: OK as long as you keep an eye on the batteries.

Pros: Easy to use, is accurate (give or take 2 beats.) Comes with a long lanyard. Doubles as an alarm and clock.

Cons: Mistake in instuctions, how to set alarm on or off, should say 'In alarm mode press up key to open or close alarm' not 'In clock mode.'

Other: Good for a gymnistm or anyone curious about their pulse

Pros: Works exactly like it should, seems to read heart rate accurately, nice that it doubles as an alarm clock.

Other: This device, is tiny and quite accurate. The reading is measured when you depress the pulse button. It takes around 15-20 seconds to come up with a number. I have no idea how this actually measures a heart rate it doesn't seems to emit IR light so I can only assume it uses a capacitive method. The alarm and clock functions could be useful. Defiantly small enough to chuck round your neck when you go out for a run.

Pros: It's funny, very funny. Basically this thing is a random number generator that poses as a heart rate monitor. After about 20 minutes playing with it, I gave mine to a niece. Her parents report that she gets a great deal of fun out of it... tests her heart rate, runs around for five minutes, tests again, etc, etc.

Cons: The results are totally unpredictable and bear no actual relationship to your actual heart rate.

Other: It's great fun, a good gift for a child too young to see it for the crock that it is, just don't buy it expecting any form of accuracy!
