What is Bulk Rate? BulkRate is a semi-wholesale system with items priced separately from retail. When you use bulk rates, a flat $1.70 registered air mail fee will automatically be added to your cart to ensure delivery of package. While BulkRate's intention is to offer cheaper prices when you buy in bulk, because it is priced separately it on occassions show a higher than retail price. That's why we ask you to enter BULKRATE as a coupon code to manually activate the rates. You can always opt not to use the bulk rates. Pros: This easily connects to a male-male HDMI cable. Though it connects to the *video* OUT port of my Macintosh laptop, I do not get audio output to the TV. Logically the HDMI input on the LCD TV kis designed to carry audio/video signals concurrently. Other than using the built-ion speakers in your laptop, one would have to connect the headphones/audio out to a different destination in order to get sound output.
Cons: Too bad it does not output both video and audio (from the laptop)
Other: If you want HD quality *VIDEO* (only) this is worth the price. Otherwise, you might gamble on this item: http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.30471. I say "gamble", because this item [SKU 34025] is the ONLY product (so far), that I have ordered from Dealer Extreme which works properly *out of the box*. Other items that I have are factory defects. (I wonder if DX double-checks items before shipping?). CAVEAT: any items with electronic or working parts from Deal Extremeshould be verified IMMEDIATELY upon receipt.

Pros: comes in great packing, I was positively surprised when I saw the package. it looks like a quality build, it doesn't feel like a cheap replica. the material feels right and it looks durable (but I haven't tested). most importantly, it works like a charm.
Cons: only comes in white, which is a pity if you have a black hdmi cable.
Other: just buy it!

Pros: - very nice build quality
- simply plug and work
- does not exist 'officially' from Apple
Cons: - absolutely none
Other: if you need it, just buy it ! It works fine, but be aware that you dont have a pretty recent MacBook (as March/2010 i'm writing this), you'll not get audio because of your MacBook limitation, not this adapter.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: Really small adapter - smaller than the Apple official MDP to VGA adapter, for example.
Excellent value compared to store-bought adapters. Apple don't sell a MDP to HDMI adapter, so there's only a choice of third party adapters.
The biggest win is: supports audio on the current generation of MacBook Pros. Only the most recent machines support audio output over the MiniDisplayPort, and it requires that the adapter support it.
This one does. That plus the smaller size makes this the adapter of choice.
Cons: The packaging is exactly like the Apple official packaging for MDP adapters. This feels a bit cheesy/fake, especially since Apple don't even make MDP -> HDMI adapters themselves!
The cable used in the adapter looks like it's from some huge spool, and probably won't last as long as your MacBook.
Other: If you want to connect your MacBook Pro to your HDTV, this is the best way to do it. If your TV supports VGA input, this is still better because of the audio support.

Pros: This is a great adapter for the money. Connects instantly to the TV, and supports sound. The build quality is great, and it sure looks like an Apple product.
Cons: Can't get 1080p to work, the screen keeps flashing black. I have tested my HDMI cable with another computer, and that worked just like i should. However 1080i worked smoothly. Another thing is that you have to activate sound manually, from the settings panel, but that is of course not because of this product, but because of Apple.
Other: This is a great adapter, but if you want 1080p it didn't work for me. However 720p works great (with sound and all). I would say, go buy it.

Pros: It supports 1080p and has a nice white apple-color all over. Goes berfect with my white chargers and white iphone... =P
I haven´t tried with sound yet, but i don´t think i need to since i usually just use my external projector + headphone cables
Cons: Nothing.
Other: If you have a 1080p projector and a macinotsh or pc with a mini display port, and you want to share something on the silver screen, buy this.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: It's working and it looks nice. - I'm using it with my 13" Macbook Pro, I had to reboot to get the Audio working, but when i did, my TV showed up in the System Preferences as an Audio Device.
Now i have perfect 1080p Picture from my MPP on my Plasma, great for watching a Movie without having to burn or transcode it first, or to surf the web...
Cons: It could be cheaper. That's about it, there's nothing more to whine about, but as there's a 1000 characters Minimum, I'm gonna go on a little here. You should have stopped reading by now though, or just jumped to the Bottomline.
Other: It's great.
By the way: if the audio is transmitted over HDMI depends on the Display-Port built into your Notebook. Older Macbooks don't support Audio over HDMI (some other Notebooks don't either) - mine does.
Of course i can't say anything about durability after owning it for a week or so, but hey - it's a cable, what's gonna happen?
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: - Qaulity plastics.
- Great build qaulity.
- HDMI fits great and no need for jamming the connector into it like many other adapters.
- Packaging looks real.
- detects my 32 inch samsung led tv just fine, it even says samsung on my macbook.
Cons: Nice connector so no cons, it just works.
Other: Great connector for a decent price.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: the device is good looking, good build and works great with my MacBook. Build quality is as good as the original ones.
Cons: - NO SOUND THROUG HDMI! You need a P2 cable or a digital cable to output the audio!
BUT its the same story with you use a original apple adapter. In theory its possible to send audio from displayPort to HDMI but apple did not implement it in MacBook mini-DP output.
Other: Great product! If you need an mini-DisplayPort -> HDMI adapter its a must buy!
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: It's a great product to buy if you want to use your mac with your hdmi display. The video output works really good with 720p and 1080p.
Cons: The wire of this adapter could be better. The plastic is a bit harder than the apple's officials wires like mini displayport to vga, but doesn't affect the product.
Other: I recommend to buy this adapter, it's a great product and the price is very suitable.
