What is Bulk Rate? BulkRate is a semi-wholesale system with items priced separately from retail. When you use bulk rates, a flat $1.70 registered air mail fee will automatically be added to your cart to ensure delivery of package. While BulkRate's intention is to offer cheaper prices when you buy in bulk, because it is priced separately it on occassions show a higher than retail price. That's why we ask you to enter BULKRATE as a coupon code to manually activate the rates. You can always opt not to use the bulk rates. Pros: It just works. I had some trouble finding the working drivers for Linux. There are many repos around and I could finally make it work seamlessly with http://gitorious.org/rtl2832/rtl2832 (the chipset is RTL2832 as declared in the specs). The little included antenna proved to be better than I expected, and I can receive all TVs with it (but I live in a very good zone for receaving TV).
Cons: Nothing particularly. The plastic casing isn't very good, but there no strong need for anything terrribly robust.
Other: It definitely worth its price! :-)
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: it does have: RTL2832 receiver + elonics e4000 tuner thus it is 100% compadible with GNURadio 1MSPS - 3.2MSPS with tuning range 64MHz - 1700MHz 8bit IQ samples within these limitations you can receive anything you can program a receiver for, for example i got ADS-B ModeS working with it(gr-air-modes reads info sent by aviation transponders and puts the airplane tracks on google-earth for you) - hey presto a 19$ aviation radar. other example, it was trivial to listen on my wireless earphones signal, or local fm stations. lots of possible applications for this device
Cons: 75ohm antenna connection is crap, the provided monopole is below crap, sure you can put other antennaes on it but it would really be nice if it had sma connector USB connector tends to bend local oscillator is not that great, PLL lock time is slow and temperature drift very noticable you get what you pay for, when it comes to build quality
Other: you can do jobs done with this 19$ usb gadget you would otherwise need tools in the several thousand dollar price range for. for an radio amateur, electronics geek etc a great tool to have, and costs next to nothing, a must buy even if it doesnt have much precision and signal quality

Pros: Works perfectly on Windows 7 and Windows Media Center, without any additional drivers It also works great with rtl-sdr on Debian Linux.
Cons: The included magnetic antenna is crap, it can not receive anything. The antenna cable isn't coaxial, but like a 2 conductor power cable. With an external antenna it has no problems.
Other: Nice and compact receiver.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: For tv-usage this works as a tuner in Windows Media Center just by plugging it in and scanning for channels, didn't need to install anything extra. The tuner seems to be very sensitive as the antenna isn't too great but there were very little artifacts on the video stream. Works great for RTL-SDR. Build quality isn't the best possible, but it is sturdy enough.
Cons: The antenna connector isn't really suitable for anything other than tv-use, but otherwise all good.
Other: Cheap enough to buy a bunch and figure what to do with them later (I got four). Good for tv and fiddling around with SDR.

Pros: While not really the E4000 tuner it is still a compatible tuner with RLT-SDR. The device that comes in the box is an EzTV645 with an Fitipower FC0013 tuner.
Cons: This is actually the EzTV645 Fitipower FC0013. The sticker on the back of the box shows "EZTV668" but the device is not that model. DealExtreme needs to update the product description.
Other: While the product now shipping is not the EZTV668 you are still getting an RTL-SDR compatible device. Just a shame DealExtreme does not really know what is being shipped out.

Pros: * It has chip RTL2832U * Works perfectly in Linux (Ubuntu 12.04), you need driver https://github.com/ambrosa/DVB-Realtek-RTL2832U-2.2.2-10tuner-mod_kernel-3.0.0 * lsusb identification from Linux: 0bda:2838 Realtek Semiconductor Corp. * plastic cover can be removed and you can verify type, which you have * can be used with rtl_sdr
Cons: * This SKU was called earlier as EZTV 668, so I ordered it as 668, but arrived EZTV 645 (dx compensated, so ok) * This stick doesn not have tuner Elonics E4000, but tuner Fitipower FC0013 * The included antenna is not very usable
Other: * Not a bad purchase.

Pros: Works great as a software defined radio. Just get the software and away you go. Maybe works well as a tv tuner, but i didn't test it. Easy to open in order to tweak. Remote control is small and practical. Works great both in windows and linux.
Cons: The sensitivity of the antena,is almost null. If you plan some serious use get another antenna. Check the interwebs for SDR, to get advise about the best antenna.
Other: Great product to get started on SDR. Amazing value for money.

Pros: works with hdsr easy to setup even on first time user works great good sample rates and recives just about everythin i needed right out of the box remote control works fine not a white box item
Cons: need to update description if you expect to get a eztv648 and got a 646 not even a 645 whats up deal extreme.....
Other: after all a great buy for the price overall good performace and not so bad when considering what its real duty is

Pros: Works good and was easy to get it work propley in windows seven. In Linux, i tried but i didn't to get it working yet, i will try again, bacause y know that works in linux.
Cons: Needs a good antenna to get better reception signals, buts works. I will try with an external antenna to find better results.
Other: Due to the price is a good start of the SDK, to someone that wants to start it. It's smal and easy to transport so its good to try in evry place (home, office, and others).

Pros: im using it on Linux for SDR, this is the cheapest DVB-T Stick cappable for this task! Its working like a charm, i add also a picture of my complete setup. I use it mainly to scan for frequencys and then tune with the real radio to it for listening. So basically im using it as a ultra wideband scanner (0-2.2GHz with Mod)
Cons: When used for watching TV or Radio, the Remote Receiver is on one side, and its on all notebooks i know the wrong one!
Other: for my task, using it as an SDR, its perfect!
