Pros: It works on my Land rover Freelander 1 OBD2 OBD-II (after 05.2002) and on Citroen C5 OBD2 2002. Work fine throught Bluetooth with my android tablet pc (Torque application). Comes with drivers for Windows XP/Vista, Mac-OS and some software for windows (EasyOBDII , ScanMaster-ELM, OBD2Spy, scantool_net113, wOBDCRAZY) to scan from virtual COM port throught bluetooth.

Cons: Cheapest elm327 OBD-II scanner with Bluetooth.

Other: Must have for each driver to car diagnostic.

Pros: Easy to use. I had some issues to put it to work on an android phone, because the OBD software was messing around with me. Im using "torque motor" on my android phone to connect to the device. It shows me that my speedometer have a problem(and it really has a problem) many infos showed on the screen and the fault codes can be cleared by the device.

Cons: none so far... I just dont know if it drains a lot of battery... never left it connected to the car slot with the car parked... im afraid to run out my battery.

    Other: buy it.

Pros: Handy size to grip when you have the intention to connect and disconnect the adapter. Clear LEDs to check wether it's the bluetooth connection or the OBD2 connection alive.

Cons: It's got some problems when pairing to different devices. With a PC is OK, but I've tried it with different android phones and tablets and the adapter pairs only with some of them.

Other: You have to know what are you doing when using OBD2. For sure you will need technical knowledge while using it.

  • Doesnt work on all OBD II cars

    posted by billtr96sn on 16:50:56 G10T 29/10/2012 certificated customer

Pros: Found easily by my telephone which was loaded with the android programme, Torque. The bluetooth connecting reference number is hidden on the supplied disc but it is 6789. The unit is small enough to leave plugged into my OBD II port all the time. The programmes supplied on the disc are useful looking (I didnt actually use any of them)

Cons: On my own car (A Vauxhall/Opel Vectra 1.8l B model) the OBD II reader wouldnt communicate with my ECU. I wasnt surprised as my handheld device wouldn't either! It has worked well in other cars though.

    Other: Just buy it.

Pros: It is cheap. Works well with Torque for Android smartphone (I don't have checked compatibility whit any PC software diagnostic tools). Works well on car with ISO14230-4 KWP (fast init,10.4 Kbaud) protocol (the only i have tried, on Opel Meriva)

Cons: No auto power off: it is always on.

Other: Cheap and effective tools. A must have for car & smartphone owner. Buy it.

  • Exellent OBDII tool.

Pros: Worked out of the box. Bluetooth code for my unit was "9876" (not informed). Tested on co-worker's VW Golf (ca. 2000) and Ford Mondeo Mk2 1998. Both with Torque Free on an Android phone. Also tried some VAG app (don't remember its proper name) with the VW Golf; worked OK, but some tweaking is needed on the COM/BT ports under Windows. Comes in a nice box with a mini-CD which I did not yet even took out of its envelope (Torque's just great).

Cons: It would be very nice of the manufacturer to put the BT pairing code somewhere visible. No ON/OFF switch, so you better do not leave plugged to your car.

    Other: Excellent OBDII tool.

Pros: ?lug and play, that's all I can say about this wonderful invention. Just turned in my car and after a few seconds my Android smartphone is connected to my car and told me everything I need to know. The application is "torque", displays the error clears errors etc.

Cons: This widget is made of very cheap plastic even looks a bit ugly, but it just works and it is the most important ...

Other: Cheap construction, poor materials, but it works

Pros: This is a great product for a very low price, price is unbeatable. Plug n play. Works perfect with Torque android app. My car is a 2012 Kia sportage FWD 2-liter engine. I have been enjoying this device since i have plugged it in. Also tested on a friend's 2010 honda civic, does the same thing as on my sportage.

Cons: It seems not to work with other android ODB apps.

Other: Best deal for this kind of device.

Pros: Excellent gadget useful to check your vehicle working conditions without being scammed by a mechanic.

Cons: Quality could be better, although it doesn't seem to be easily breakable.

Other: I would recommend it to anyone who wants to take control of the electronics within your car. Just make sure you know wich connector, protocol and software must use, depending on your vehicle.
