Pros: Super small and inexpensive. Uses the ralink firmware that works perfectly on Linux. Tested on RaspberryPi
Cons: None found.
Other: Nice deal. Ceap. Works on Linux and consumes little energy
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: Small and cheap wifi adapter which works very well with my Raspberry Pi with Raspbian GNU/Linux. Tested with and accesspoint with WPA2 encryption. More info at: <http://elinux.org/RPi_Ralink_WLAN_devices> <http://www.janwagemakers.be/wordpress/?p=276>
Cons: On linux, firmware-ralink (Binary firmware for Ralink wireless cards) is needed. Not a real problem, because this is included in most Linux-Distributions... but in Debian for example it's in the non-free(dom) section because it's binary only (no source available).
Other: It just works™.

Pros: when using windows, installation is a breeze: plug it in, install the drivers and it works. No hassle, no troubles. Connecting to a network can be somewhat difficult because of the way the menus are organised, but you'll figure it out.
Cons: At first, i tried to use this adapter on a Linux machine. After a week of searching, trying and compiling drivers myself, i gave up. The manufacturer simply does NOT provide working drivers! The only thing they provide, is a generic source, but this simply does NOT work on any Linux distribution you try it on, it needs lots of work. Also, the adapter-statement under Linux when using the command lsusb that it has an RT5370 chipset, is NOT correct, the Realtek-drivers for RT5370 do NOT work! So, i gave up and installed Windows on my machine to get the adaper to work. From here on, it was simple.
Other: A good adapter, as long as you use windows. Absolutely NO Linux support! The manufacturer says so, but it's non-existent.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: - It is plug-n-play in many OSes, I tested with Win7, Win8, Linux (Ubuntu) and RaspBMC (XBMC for the Raspberry Pi) - Very low profile - Energy efficient (It works with my Raspberry Pi powered by a USB Television)
Cons: - I get 70mbps from 4-5 meters maximum - Sometimes the WiFi connection crashes when I keep a full throughput for a long period of time
Other: The best cost-benefit WiFi adapter. Can't see any reason to not recommend it.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: The build quality is actually quite good! It picked up my Wifi immediately and assigned an IP and everything pretty quickly. Plug an play with drivers being no problem (Thank goodness!) and it registered a MAC address almost immediately on my Android tablet, which is a plus!
Cons: Although I'm sure it's not meant for this - it didn't work properly on my android device, I can't tell if it's the android device, the Adapter or just the Android OS itself that's at fault. However the end result was that it didn't work for this device. The other issue was the sudden loss of connection that happens randomly (but rarely! So that's a good thing!) on my windows PC - usually I'd blame my wifi router but then other devices seem to have their wifi adapter running all the time without issues.
Other: The cons are really negligible - the price is great however it has a slight bigger and better brother that just takes all the good things about this item and puts it into that - be sure to give SKU117398 a look before buying - however if you want a nice portable little device without an antenna sticking out then definitely get this little guy!

Pros: - Very cheap - Very small (takes little room at the USB port) - Plug and Play, just plugin in Windows 7 and it was recognized
Cons: - Not a pretty design - Nothing indicating it is working (such as a led light)
Other: I definitively recommend the product if you don't need anything too fancy. You may use in back USB doors without worries and it will not even be noticeable.

Pros: It's very nice and not too big. The signal is also quite good but the wifi router is only at the opposite side of the room so I have no idea what happens when your computer is further away. Runs perfectly on my raspberry pi running arch linux, it's 100% supported wich is a good thing obviously. Came in a nice sturdy package with a driver cdrom for windows too so windows drivers are no problem either.
Cons: No cons as far as I noticed.
Other: If you want a wireless raspberry pi, get this one!
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: * It is small in size, does not stick out insane far. * The current it draws is low, it will work with a revision 1 Raspberry Pi. * Works out of the box with Linux. * Cheap!
Cons: * Signal level is poor, I've seen Nano N150 USB dongles do better * Effective throughput is very low, can't get more then 10Mbit through this adapter. Possibly due to signal issues. * The devices uses an RaLink chipset that will only do B/G when using Linux. There is no way to get it to do N when using Linux.
Other: If you are running Linux, don't buy it. You can better search for an adapter that will allow you to use N speeds without having to install windows.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: It WORKS!! It works better than the $50.00 PCI cards i have! installed on XP SP3 with no fuss and connected to my LAN from ~30' through walls, something my Dell N MiniPCI card has difficulty doing.
Cons: none so far, unless you have a habit of misplacing small items
Other: works very well, ridiculously cheap, very small. Not much room for improvement.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: - Very tiny - Power consumption is very low - Works on RPI out of the box - Also work on my Linux distros - Cheap
Cons: - Because of low power consumption, the throught put is not the best - As in previous review, cannot use N in linux. BUt B and G works great
Other: I bought it to use with Raspberry Pi. And it was a good buy. As soon as I plugged it in, it recognize it. Tested with debian and xbmc. It does not reaches the max speed in Wireless G, but the signal its ok. My router is in another floor, and I was able to stream youtube in 720p through xbmc in the RPI. I recommend it if you want a cheap usb wifi dongle to have just in case.
