MagicShine MJ-872 Waterproof 4-CREE XP-G 4-Mode 1600-Lumen LED Bike Light with Battery Pack Set

Pros: This is an awesome light with a capital "O". It is a flood light (which is not noted in the advertising material) and the cable comes out the back of the unit, not the front like the other MagicShine products. I have owned two single LED devices (the MJ-808) which are awesome 900 lm spot lights. Pairing the spot (on your head) and the flood (on your bars) is great for night trail riding. Unreservedly recommend this - but it is a flood light, without the distance of the 900 lm MJ-808.

Cons: A flood light not a sport light.

Other: Awesome.

Pros: Nice power switch with 4 battery indicators and split in two halves. Press the top half to go to the next higher power setting. Press the lower half to move down a power setting. Hold for 2 seconds to turn off. Very small size.

Cons: Opaque lens scatters the light, not enough forward illumination.

Other: There are better and cheaper 4x XP-G lights out there like Bikeray and Fluxient - much better value. If the reliability is better than the 1400 lumen and the SSC P7, it will be an ok light if you use a spot with it.

Pros: The light arrived on Friday morning, and Friday night we had the night orienteering championship. That means two hours of running in the forest - i.e mostly outside the trails. The light worked very well. I carried the battery in a Silva belt, and used the head strap SKU 32755. This light is more of a flood light than MJ-808, and with that is an advantage for night orienteering.

Cons: Remember to order extension cable SKU 32751 and European charger cable SKU 29077. I would also appreciate a stronger head strap, more similar to those from Lupine.

Other: The MJ808 might be the best value, but if you need more light or a wider angle, this is a good choice!

Pros: It's good quality and strong light. Very good for travel in highways at night. In minimum light you can use for longer period. Small size better than having many small lights in a bike or over you body.

Cons: the price scares but I think i'ts worth. But if you use for a long period it gets hot. Just one pack of battery isn't enough for longer than 6 hour, must have a extra one.

Other: Great and worth having one, even if you don't use the maximum light. You never know when you'll need.

Pros: Three settings. Very bright on the top setting. Easy to install with the o rings. Two different sizes to accommodate different size bars.

Cons: Led at the rear of the light is always on and uses up the battery. Problem solved by disconnecting battery. Just a minor complaint.

Other: Very good light great trader quick delivery

Pros: - Really bright light with four brightness levels - Color coding of the battery discharge level - Good build quality - Compact size - Insensitive to low temperatures - Modular design lights

Cons: - Lack of rigidity of the steering wheel mount bike lights - Unfinished construction mounting the battery pack to the bike

Other: A good light at a great price. If you are willing to put up with some of its shortcomings will be an excellent choice.

Pros: Very bright light! The four brightness settings makes it useful in different conditions, also it's very easy to change the brightness up/down using the simple buttons. The O-rings makes it easy to mount on different handlebars. The color coded battery level indicator is a big plus.

Cons: Drains battery rather quickly at max power.

Other: Surprisingly bright and versatile lamp (especially if you get the head strap)
