Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: Very bright, fun to watch, makes you more visible at night. Turns off after ~18 seconds of non-motion. Also turns off when exposed to bright light, so you save the batteries during daytime riding.
Cons: If you order one quantity, you will only receive one--not a pair. Leds only on one side, and it doesn't look good when turned so that it's half visible from both sides.
Other: The coolest bike tire light I've yet seen, but would be cooler with leds on both sides.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: -bright
-small
-looks nice in the darkness
-riding with such thing is safer
Cons: - looks nice from one side only the other side can be seen in the darkness also but not so nicely
- didn't install on my bike, had to use apoxy glue
- the quality is low, on the picture the bottom part looks like metal but it's low quality plastic.
- this thing is not waterproof
Other: price is ok and it's nice so if you use your bike at night then this light is nice to have. But I wouldn't use it on car cause the quality is low and this thing will break at a high speed.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: - Looks great!
- People will notice you.
- Very cheap.
- Light sensor - only switches on at night.
- LED:s are sealed in, so rain won't damage the electronics.
- Batteries included!
Cons: - A little flimsy.
Other: Excellent buy, lots of bling for little cash.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: - bright - has several modes of blinking - fully autonomic (saves your time and battery power) - quite unique light for a bike
Cons: - build quality is average, but enough for the main purpose - no leds on the second side - no color variations
Other: intellectual piece of Chinese genius turns off if there's some light and no motion
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: Really sweet item, great for kids, I gave it to my cousin who was absolutely stoked. Cool lights and looks pretty neat.
Cons: Pretty flimsy, looks like it would crack if a decent amount of force was struck. Doesn't complete a ring of light on a bike.
Other: Get it for your car I reckon it would look wicked, but for a bike great for kids but don't expect a compelte circle.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: - Quite cheap
- Turns some heads in the dark :)
- Doesn't eat the batteries too fast
- Looks cool even though it wouldn't make a pattern
Cons: - Not so good build quality
- Properly visible only to the other side
- I doubt if this is waterproof
- The tire needs to spin really fast for it to form a pattern
Other: A fancy little light show followign you where ever you go
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: Nice leds to spin as i'm riding a motorbike, looks extremely attractive and will attract traffic police.
Cons: looks weak and feels like it might break once a small stone hits it. Only one side has led, i'm riding a motor bike is it's only nice in one side, another side is dark.
Other: use with car is more preferable as it can only show one side, not both side.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: Great fun and very cheap. It's free shipping folks, so in total, it's only slightly more than the price of a good coffee, so don't complain when you find it's not made to last a lifetime (or by Germans!) Amuse your friends and stun motorists!
Cons: • Cheaply built. • Batteries were in backwards when I received it. • I thought I was buying a set of two, as most bike-wheel lights come as a pair. :-( Still, it's cheap enough. • When I screwed the cap on, the light was ALWAYS on, it doesn't seem to be 'motion activated' at all.
Other: • Buy one and try it out. It's only a few bucks! :-)
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: well and shines in the darkness. if enough light around the device include but are not lit and does not consume batteries continues to glow at low speed and a few seconds after a full stop
Cons: of the downsides shines almost exclusively to one side to another side of the world is weak. the whole body of plastic. only mount on the valve of aluminum. and the most important figure in the photo shown at the speed of 30km / h and above. at speeds less than 30km / h looks like http://www.dealextreme.com/p/motion-activated-green-led-wheel-lights-for-bikes-and-cars-2-pack-23041 but with red and blue glow, sometimes pink
Other: generally a bad thing, I ordered one for a test, will order another one. price is not very high for both the technological devices
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: Nice LEDs. Lights go out fairly quickly when not in motion.
Cons: These LEDs are actually blue and red. Even though, they may generate a purplish look when in motion, blue lights on a bicycle or a vehicle are illegal for street use where I live. I was hoping, there would be a twisty switch so that they might only illuminate when needed.
Also, the LEDs are only on one side, but you could align them so they are visible on both sides from either the front or from the rear. (LEDs facing front or LEDs facing rear)
Other: Great visibility and attention-getter if blue lights are not a legal issue where you live.
