Multi-purpose Wire Stripping Tool (0.5/1.2/1.8/2.0mm)

Pros: - Sturdy construction, all moving parts are made out of metal. This thing looks like it could last for a lifetime.
- Plasticized grip for comfortable operation.
- Easy enough to use.
- Does what it is supposed to and does it very well.

Cons: No cons at all.

Other: Very good wire stripper for the money.

Pros: Exactly what I wanted. Spent ages looking for something like this and not cost £££s. Bought a cheap one from ebay which broke within mins! :(

Pros: As other reviews have mentioned, this is a quality tool. It really does feel like something that will last many years of regular use.
It's just the right size for my hands, and the grips are comfy, which is important to me as I'll be using this a lot.
The solid metal construction and the finishing touches like the pre-applied lubrication so the blade moves smoothly make this product something I'd expect to cost much more. It's a professional tool.

Cons: Sometimes it is fiddly to get the wire into the notch on the blade, but this gets easier the more you use it.

Other: It works well, seems solidly built, and it's a pro tool without a high price tag. What else can you ask for?

Pros: o It really does strip 0.5mm Kynar wire perfectly!

Cons: o Not quite as easy to use as it could be because it opens a long way between the two grips and is not very comfortable. If you have small hands, you would probably find that the two grips are too far apart to be usable.

Other: If you need to strip very thin guage wire, then this is the tool for you.

Pros: -Really nice build quality, it feels really solid. -fast, wich is important if you have to strip a lot of wires. -very clever design and really easy to use. -it's great to be able to own such a quality tool for this kind of money. Good tools are essential. -Good solid grips molded onto the metal itself

Cons: -some of the smaller guage wires can be really hard to strip.

Other: I really like this tool, the engineering that went into designing the action is really good. I think this is a tool that will last for a very very long time.

Pros: VERY solidly built; this tool feels totally pro. Compare at several times the price... it's the same or better. Buy SKU 06309 at the same time as each of these tools only does 4 wire guages and you'll need both eventually. When using these on the correct sire, they're awesome.

Cons: The more expensive strip tools have exchangeable blades; you'll need to buy at least one more for G/P work if you want to cover your stripping needs (ESPECIALLY 24AWG). Still, buying the other wire-guage tool (which I"m doing right now) is still WAY cheaper at $13 each than just one from AMP. The depth-guage is very hard to fit and adjust. I probably won't even mount it and just eyeball the strip length.

Other: Buy it. Then buy SKU 06309 cause you'll need that too!

Pros: - It simply works, much better than any other wire stripper I've seen. - Strips wire perfectly, every time. - Very well built, it looks like it'll last a lifetime. - Cheap! - The mechanics of it is very cool, it really holds the wire in two points, cut in the middle and pull. Everytime I use it, I'm amazed by how well designed it is.

Cons: - It has a little piece to measure how much of the wire to strip which is adjusted by a screw. Sometimes you want to change the length or take that of completely, and you need a small screwdriver. It's a little annoying. - It's large, and it's shape when at rest is like an open plier, so expect it to take some room in your toolbox, drawer, etc.

Other: If you need a good wire stripping tool that will do the job perfectly every time, won't break in your hands while using, and will last for a long time, get this one. Even better, get all three. You won't regret.
