Multimedia IR Remote Controller with USB Receiver for PC (1*CR2025)

Pros: Very easy to use - you don't need any software or drivers. It's very small and light. Very useful (you can do everything with it as you have a mouse and a keyboard in your hand). The built quality is very good. And it is cheap.

Cons: Not so far. Everything is OK and working.

Other: If you want to operate your computer from small distance, you have to buy it. I bought one for me and now lots of my friends want such things.

Pros: Not require drivers for Windows NT and above. Defined as a HID device, so can work in Linux systems. Powered by large distances. Is checked up to 8 meters. Just examine the management of Windows 7 media center, work all the functions.
Just check the work in XBMS in Windows, why does not work button Play, but since found out the power to appoint their own buttons on the action.

Cons: The small size of the battery. I'm used to the AAA.

Other: In our country, similar universal remotes great deficiency.

Pros: Great deal, the mouse button works really good. Much better than expected after reading reviews of similar products. I didn't get it for the mouse function. Got it basically to control the volume and move to the next item on a play list. It's simple enough to set up to anyone who would order this and knows what they want out of it. If you want to use this as a mouse from a distance it will do the job but that's more of a bonus they included on this remote. It's really not easy to type in words or web addresses with the remote but that's another thing I look at as a bonus they didn't have to include. This remote is for media players, not for web browsing.

Cons: None.

Other: This is for people that want to watch videos or play music, it works out of the box with windows media player and is easy enough to get working with VLC. You can pretty much set up any button on the controller to do what you want with VLCs hotkeys.

Pros: * Very good build quality * Cheap * Reliable * The battery lasts a loooooong time * Soft buttons * It's a wifi mouse and keyboard

Cons: * Short cable (IR receptor) * The cable is too fragile (I think I'll have to replace it soon) * The range is not 18 mts as promissed, but for me works great at 3 mts and that's all I need * You need good aiming skills to "shoot" the receptor

Other: It's the most easy way of having a multimedia center in your room without expensive stuff. I just sticked the IR receptor on the top of my TV with a black rubber tape and used an USB extension to plug it on the computer. Now I can sit at the couch and watch youtube videos, movies, photos, listen to music... every single function of my pc can be remotely controled. My girlfriend says that it's a fatty gadget, but I don't care. That was the best $10 I've ever spent.

Pros: -Works in win7 32bit (didn't try 64) -Can program into harmony remote (550 tested) except for the hotkey buttons. Need to do raw mode, under IR learning select "custom" in lower right and learn as raw -The remote quality isn't too bad (but not really relevant as I only needed to program the harmony) -Can wake computer from sleep -The bad engrish on the package made me giggle

Cons: -The IR receiver construction is flimsy, 99cent store quality (not really a con, since I plan to set it up in my entertainment center and not move it much)

Other: -Cheap -Be ready to fine tune

Pros: - Cheap IR receiver + remote - Works greatly with Vista 64bit and XP 32bit - All buttons work if you know what they do - Battery lasts long time and can be easily changed - Enough long cable to connect it behind my full tower computer case and put it top on it.

Cons: - Flimsy perhaps? I don't suggest trying to pull off this device from cord. It seems to be pretty fragile but of course you never pull from cord, do you? - No manual, eventhough it didn't slow me down much but some users might want to know more about it

Other: Now if you plan to get a remote controller for your HTPC you might like this if you don't have a bluetooth keyboard & mouse for your htpc. You can't do pretty complicated movements with this but it does what it is intented to do.

Pros: The build quality is not exceptional, but is quite good. It's really easy to use, totally plug & play. It is recognized as a multimedia keyboard and a mouse, so you don't need drivers, even with linux. I tested it in gentoo linux and worked fine without any configuration. I have installed "keytouch" to manage my multimedia keyboard, and when I plugged the remote control, it worked without any problems, even the mouse control.

Cons: The quality of the receiver is quite poor, and the cable seems to break easily. Not all the buttons work in all systems, so you need a program to manage that. If you are a little far of the receiver, you need to align it with the control, it is quite directive.

Other: Really easy to use, really easy to install in linux and windows, no drivers needed at all. The receiver could be better, but the remote control has a great quality, and the buttons work really well. The receiver could be better, but the quality/price rate is excellent.

Pros: Cheap, really really usefull, very easy to use, no need for drivers, easy to configure, works with most programs(or all if you know how to set it up). Comes with batteries.

Cons: Well, build quality is not the best, but its ok, i dropped it from a cosniredable distance to a hard floor, and i was afraid that it wouldnt work, but its fine.

Other: If i wanted, i could have written this review from my bed with the remote haha

Pros: - Build quality is good. Low cable thickness is not a problem if once to install the receiver in a convenient place and to not touch it in the further.
- The remote control unit fits in a hand perfectly. I love it :)
- Works well on 3-7 meters distance, it's enough for me. But sometimes it is required to aim ??? the receiver.
- Additional drivers are not needed except standard ones for HID in your OS.
- "Mouse circle" is great and helpful.
- Workable in any application allowing a hot-keys settings.

Cons: - I am not sure about max distance of 18 meters. Uncertainty you should be a sniper for this purpose. :)
- Sometimes it's difficult to find the necessary button in darkness as all of them of the identical size, it's the price for the small size of the RC unit.
- Could be more programmable keys.
- Sometimes it is necessary to try to aim "shooting" the receiver.
- Low power of the RC transmitter because of the small sizes of the RC device and as consequence of the weak CR2025 battery.
In my opinion, the cons listed are insignificant and should not irritate you.

Other: Very useful for making multimedia center from your PC. This is standart HID including both keyboard and mouse, therefore if your OS is capable to support such devices (USB mouse and keyboards) it will work.

Pros: Excellent stuff! It has long been dreaming to control your computer from the couch. All you need is to turn on the computer and connect the IR receiver! The device is self install (I had Windows XP) and everything! On the panel are cursor with which you can control the mouse. Also, almost all the buttons work. Not until the end of all to understand. But the most for me is managing video: play, pause, rewind, volume adjustment, close and turn off the computer.

Cons: Do not operate the two buttons are A and B, blue and orange, which is drawn music and movies. And when you write to the ECK cjsoobschenie it is printed only in English, and yet I would like Russian.

Other: In general I really liked it. Convenient and easy to use. The small size of the panel, convenient buttons. I advise everyone who likes to watch movies or listen to music. But the main thing too lazy to climb off the couch to turn off the computer!
