Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: - Excellent tip - should fit most multimeters - Decent build quality
Cons: - Didn't fir in one of my cheapo multimeters
Other: Great product if you need new leads or leads with a sharper point.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: Fits most standard multimeters with jacks for "safe" connectors. Nicely shaped and standard sized test handles (fits the holders on my high-end instrument).
Cons: The wires are made from a slightly too hard plastic.
The leads have a lot higher resistance than brand leads, these have about 110 mOhms while a pair of Fluke leads measure 28 mOhms.
Other: These are cheaper than anything i have found around here, and the cheapest of those had a lot worse quality.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: They fit all my 3 digital multimeters. Tips are fine enough to prevent short circuits
Cons: I had to cut a little bit of the plastic cover on the plug's end to perfectly fit one of my meters
Other: They also look very professional!
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: -Very well built, and very tiny leads ( The reason I bought them in the first place ). -Fit well in my friend's father's multimeter. -Good protection for short circuits
Cons: -The wires are not so elastic as should have been, but this doesn't matter that much.
Other: I bough these for one of my friends father as a gift. Since then he only thanks me for this excellent gift ( only $3 ?!! ). I got all his impressions and posted here as a review.
I would recommend this gift to any professional you know.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: + Great beefy connectors and test heads, easy to handle
+ Flexible cable that doesn't get on the way when you're measuring something
+ Long enough cables
+ Great price, you just can't get test leads for this price elsewhere!
Cons: None that I can think of. The build quality could always be better, but that's just aesthetical in this case.
Other: If you need test leads - get these. Especially cheap multi meters rarely come with good leads and these are an improvement over the stock ones.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: - Tips are sharp enough for all uses.
- Longer cables than those in leads that come with other multimeters so you can work more comfortably.
- Fit OK in my multimeters (2 of them, amateur tools, not professional ones).
- Well built.
- Nice prize, where I live you can only find worse leads at higher prizes.
Cons: - Maybe wires don't bend as easily as you want. It's not a big problem for me but some users may find it annoying. I suppose they will get more flexible as I use the leads.
Other: Bought it because I wanted leads with longer cables. Seem to be also better quality leads than those I owned before.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: The test leads have sharp tips.
Nice feel in the hand when using them.
Cable has enough length so you can work easily.
The fit just in my multimeter.
Cons: I haven't found any cons so far...
(The only con is in the 500 character limit in the reviews... :P Five hundred characters are to much!)
Other: Very good test leads, much better quality than those which came with my multimeter.
Buy them if you need them!
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: - Well built.
- Material is very good.
- Price is good too. Here, at a local store I can find some leads for a bit more than this but the quality is lower than this from DX.
- Cable has a good size for the work. A bit longer than the original and it is good for my job.
- Fit very well in two multitesters which I own.
Cons: - Should be a bit more flexible.
- Mine came with a little crack in one of the tips. But its not a big matter. It will work in the same way.
Other: If you need leads, buy it. They have a great quality.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: These are really good quality cables!
Here in Hungary something with this quality would cost 2x if not 3x more...
Cons: Nothing, really
(just this stupid 500 char limit: I'd understand for something more complex - but what to write about simple cable?!)
Other: If you use a multimeter, buy it even if you have a decent one!
(especially if you order a multimeter from DX)
No test lead lasts forever
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: I bought these to replace the test leads that came included with the meter I purchased here on DX. These ones definitely have more insulation around the wires. They're also longer and have a very sharp tip. The strain relief on the connectors is pretty sturdy.
Cons: Some of the plastic molding isn't cast well. Since there's no breaks in the insulation, I'm going to chalk this up as a cosmetic defect. It won't affect performance, but does lower marks on build quality.
Other: They're a suitable replacement for worn out leads, but I don't see the need in recommending anyone replace the included leads in their DX meters (e.g. sku 594). Overall, these are a good backup pair to have around.
