  • Excellent cables, must have for anyone

posted by venuz on 07:34:30 G7T 09/07/2010 certificated customer

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

    Pros: - length is 98cm (80cm without test leads);
    - low resistance, good for measuring low voltage/high current circuits;
    - have a caps for finger protection; :)
    - very well built, thick and qualitive cables, looks similar to expensive fluke;

    Cons: absolutely none

Other: imho the best test cables on DX, surely must have for multimeters sold here.

  • good probes

Pros: Soft enough plastic to be durable for a long time even frequently used. Typical electrical resistance, suitable for hobby digital multimeters. (0.4 ohms measured in short circuit (0.2 ohm each) with my multimeter with 0.8% accuracy)

Cons: There is no channels near the sharp ends, like the picture show, and I'm a little bit disappointed. Little abscesses near to metal leads. It's not a problem, but I'm producing similar details and this irritate me. The local distributors offers similar product on similar price...

Other: Good probes. I bought 2 pairs and I don't regret.

  • Good Quality Test Leads

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: good build quality good grip feel heavy and durable the cables aren't too hard so they won't break easily if twisted around a lot nice protection caps for both ends of the leads nice color not too short, not very too long just about right length

Cons: there are no cons I can think of.. the only one is that it might not fit in some Digital Multimeters ... I have one black and one gray... they fit perfectly in my gray unit ... but not in my black one... anyways I am using the gray more often ;)

Other: buy them for sure. I did ... and these are the best test cables for digital multimeter i have ever had ... like EVER :D

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

    Pros: Nice wire, flexible.
    Caps for contacts.
Nice build, not too small, not too big
Good price compared with local shops

    Cons: None I can think.

Other: I can read up to 3.3A from a XM-L flashlight, so I think they are accurate enough for my aplications.
Caps are usefull for storing them, or preventing the contacts to get dirty. 90cm is nice for me, not too long not too short, and wire is flexible, looks long lasting.
    Fully recomended!!

Pros: Flexible wires, very useful length. Good tactile feeling. I like the 90cm, that's just right, for most tasks. Correct CAT rating on measuring probes.

Cons: High internal resistance of 140mOhms. No Rims, as displayed. The Contacts inside are a bit flimsy.

Other: Don't expect to much, but the price is just right. I ordered a couple more... I like it !

  • Great cables

posted by nagyra on 10:58:16 G8T 04/08/2011 certificated customer

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: - the cables are long enough - much better then the cables what are included to the cheap multimeters (eg. DT series) - the resistance is ~1 Ohm (measured with cheap mm: DT9205)

Cons: - it would be cheaper (for this price I almost can buy a new multimeter on the market) - I had to cut off some plastic from around the connector pins to fit in my DT9205

    Other: None.

  • Garbage, but for the price, cheap garbage

posted by aldebarantech on 23:47:48 G8T 31/08/2011 certificated customer

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: The only pro I can see is that they didn't cost too much. I can use part of them to make alligator test leads

Cons: The probe on the red lead is loose inside the molded hand grip and seems to be intermittently connected to the wire inside. So they are useless. I will probably chop off the probes and connect alligator clips so I get some use from them. I didn't expect anything from them anyways, the price was just too good to be true and as it turns out, it was. As an added thing in an order it was a gamble and the cost is not worth the effort to try to return them.

Other: Roll the dice if you want, maybe you will get a good pair.

  • Cheap test leads well worth the price

posted by adriantc on 12:33:31 G10T 29/10/2011 certificated customer

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: The build quality seems excelent and although it is not very cheap it performs very well. They seem a lot better then the ones that came with my multimeter. Although it required some cutting to fit my multimeter it wasn't a very big deal.
They look a lot more professional then the original ones.

Cons: They required some DIY to fit my multimeter (also bought from DealExtreme), but that wasn't very hard. The price may seem big for some, but it's worth it.

Other: Even if they are a little expensive for my 13$ multimeter they seem to do the job very well. A big improvement considering the original ones.

  • Good Quality Test Leads with good price

posted by vsachuk on 02:58:56 G10T 23/10/2012 certificated customer

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: 1. Good quality 2. More than good price 3. Low resistance 4. Soft wires, that makes measurements easy and convenient 5. Wires have acceptable diameter thats mean that it can measure current up to 10A (that noted on test lead) 6. Sharp measure needles

Cons: Not cons, but need to know before start to use: 1. Not compatible with some multimeters test jacks in initial view. But that can be solved with a knife in one minute - just need to cut the plastic protection of plug (multimeter side) to the desired length 2. Max current is 10 Amperes - some multimeters have 20A current measurement limit, need be careful due measuring in high current circuits to avoid termal damage of test lead wires

Other: Don't expect to much from it, it is not professional Test Leads, but for DIY and home purpose it is the best with this price.

  • Not good as it looks

posted by denizu on 11:14:33 G11T 27/11/2012 certificated customer

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: Good coating and looks nice. Resistance of probes are better than similar products.

Cons: Wires inside are not of good quality, mine is broken and do not conduct well although it looks the same from outside.

Other: Not a professional product but if you are using your multimeter sometimes and need a pair of probes you can give it a shot for this price but do not expect much.
