Pros: Very nice size, much smaller than original Arduino board. The price is the best I've seen and it even comes with a cable for uploading the software. All pins are marked and no problem reading any markings (I have good eyes). Fits directly on a prototyking bread board. Comes reaby with blink-program so it's "plug and play" ready for your own software. Just as easy to begin working with as the original Arduino board if you have bread board available.

Cons: The fit on a prototyping bread board it very tight. You can not mount Arduino shields on top of this because it's much smaller than original Arduino board.

Other: A very good product for a very nice price. I will order more of these!

Pros: I have ordered 5 of them. Received well packed with included USB cables. Well soldered elements. Already with bootloader. Preloaded with "blink" example. Tested and working with enc28j60 ethernet module.

    Cons: So far no cons.

Other: This is the cheapest arduino board for begginers. You should also order a breadboard with this one. 170 point breadboard would be too small as you will be left with ~90 points in reduced space.

Pros: - works wall with arduino IDE, after connecting the battery blink program is loaded and starts flashing the led - fits very nicely in to the breadboard

Cons: - Mine didnt come with USB cable as picetured and said in athers reviews - wraped in foam from both sides and in envelope, pins were puncturing through the envelope

Other: Buy this arduino, maybe the missing USB cable is just packiging error

  • Perfect Arduino for Beginners

posted by mdlimabr on 07:59:36 G8T 14/08/2012 certificated customer

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: - Tiny board - Fits right on a breadboard - Easy prototyping using a breadboard - Same processing power as bigger boards - Extremely easy to set up, you can deploy your first code in less than 5 minutes using Arduino IDE - Much cheaper than bigger Arduino boards - Well made board, comes pre-loaded with the "blinking-led" code, so turning it on you can see it's working right away - Comes in a nice packaging, with foam to protect the board inside an anti-static plastic bag

Cons: - Has less ports than the bigger boards (only bad if you really need so many ports) - Still uses an FTDI chip for communication, which adds the need to install drivers on the computer (Windows does this automatically for you though) - No power jack (can be powered by USB or board pins) - USB cable is long (probably 1 meter long) and adds bulk to your prototyping table, but I must say this can be an good for some people

Other: The Arduino Nano is perfect for beginners. It's tiny, fits right on a breadboard for easy prototyping and has the same processor and memory of the bigger boards. I'm very happy with the purchase, which was shipped real quickly and worked without a flaw (I ordered 3 boards, all working great).

Pros: This is a clone, not the original one, but who cares? Perfect quality, same feature, same design at very cheap price. Best choice for beginners or advanced users. The pinout and solderes quality is not so good. I have an original Arduino Nano rev3, so i have true basis of companion. In this price is a perfect buy. The voltage regulator IC is stronger than the original (800mAh instead of 1000mAh).

Cons: No cons :) It works as it should be.

    Other: Best buy of course.

Pros: Works flawlessly, every time. I've used a few of these. I've found the build quality of mine to be excellent so far. Easy to fix when curious children connect the power incorrectly. Bit tricky to solder, but easy to repair. Consumes no power, or seems no to. Superb for embedding during prototyping before building a boarduino.

Cons: Packaging needs improvement. Good job the build quality is good, because a foam slice folded over does not adequate protection for international travel make. Hit'n'miss so far on if the USB cable is supplied. Remember, that they are more fragile than a full size board.

Other: Buy many, but watch the packaging. Seriously, the only thing that spoils an otherwise superb product.

  • Really cheap and works fine

Pros: This Arduino has the USB ready to connect with the computer . Other smaller Arduinos needs a serial-to-USB converter. Also , has included an ATMega 328 and works out-the-box with the Arduino IDE . All the pins are well marked and fits in a breadboard easily.

Cons: Obviously the Arduino shields doesn't fit so they need to connect the pins using a breadboard or similar . If well connected, whey work like a bigger Arduino .

Other: I recommend it if you need a small and a easy-to-program controller.

Pros: Arrived ok after 15 days , all the advertised products were included. It worked out of the box after plugin it to the usb port of my mac book. The arduino ide recognized the Nano out of the box. The USB cable quality is also good and fit smoth into the arduino nano usb connector

Cons: It will not fit easily in the breadboard, the pins are somehow bigger and will not fit , although using a socket to hold the arduino nando did the trick

Other: It is really a good product, it is worth the money and the wait so if you need an arduino nano do not hesitate into buying this one!

  • Best option for arduino nano

Pros: The price, you wont find this arduino cheaper in any other place. Also this version is small and really light so it's a good option for projects like small robots or quadcopters

Cons: since it uses an atmega328, it only has 32kb of flash 2k of SRAM and 1024b of EEPROM so it can be a little short for some big projects

Other: Dont buy it if you are as obsesive as me or you'll end buying everything you see just to plug it into your arduino XD

Pros: -attractive price -simple use, you do not need even to solder if you are using a breadboard -wide range of interfaces -wide range of ready to use components-shields ( ethernet, bluetooth and so on)

Cons: -usb to mini usb cable from the kit was not working

Other: Today I made my first project with Arduino. I used DHT11 humidity and temperature sensor with NANO and get statistics about humidity and temperature changes in my room. All data saved in txt file and then I made a graph.
