What is Bulk Rate? BulkRate is a semi-wholesale system with items priced separately from retail. When you use bulk rates, a flat $1.70 registered air mail fee will automatically be added to your cart to ensure delivery of package. While BulkRate's intention is to offer cheaper prices when you buy in bulk, because it is priced separately it on occassions show a higher than retail price. That's why we ask you to enter BULKRATE as a coupon code to manually activate the rates. You can always opt not to use the bulk rates. If you are looking for wholesale prices please feel free to contact us.

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: - Easy to use - Amazing price - Good quality
Cons: NONE!
Other: Buy it if you make your own cables.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: Well made, rugged plastic. This is arguably the best tool to strip away a Cat5/6 jacket without risking nicking the inner conductors, provided you're careful not to "overturn."
Cons: According to an IT friend who goes through a dozen of these every month, the blade tends to get dull rapidly, requiring you to adjust the number of turns needed for a proper strip. You need to be careful with how many turns you use, too many and you risk nicking the inner wiring, too few and the outer jacket won't break when you pull.
Other: I'll probably end up getting the 3-pack very soon. :)
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: - Cheap - Easy to use - Awesome quality for the price
Cons: - If you're not careful, you COULD cut the wires under the sheath
Other: A must-have for any system administrators toolbox!
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: The price is reasonable, it is easy and fast to use. Very good way to connect your network and phone cable wall boxes.
Cons: -
Other: For network maintenance persons and ofcourse us, home network builders. ;)
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: - Make your own cables - Works like a dream - Cheap, cheap, cheap
Cons: None
Other: Anyone that owns PC or AV equipment should get one of these. I used this tool extensivly recently to wire my speakers at home, and networking. What a great tool.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: Very small and very compact. You can hold it all in your palm, but it is still manageable to use. Simple to use.
Cons: At times it could be too small as to a bit fiddly. It will sometimes need a little practice to get started as you might use the cutter with a little too much pressure as to break the wire itself.
Other: Tools at it's cheapest yet never forgets the basics of quality!
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: 1. Very compact and simply.
I like simply things. they are easy to repair and hard to break.
2. It's very useful for cutting 5E cables.
3. Hard to harm your hands
Cons: 1. Flimsy.. looks so. 8))
Nothing more
Other: You can't go wrong with such price 8)
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: - VERY cheap.
- Strips cables well, different slots for different sizes.
- Cuts thin (relative term) cables very well also.
- Network cables can be mounted on the sockets with this, but before I knew DX I paid 30$ for a better tool, this would've been better buy for doing the couple sockets.
- Compact, fits in your pocket.
Cons: - Not perfect quality, a bit uneven plastic coating, little spills there and there, but very good for the price though.
Other: - Perfect tool to any toolbox, must have to anyone who does electrical work and doesn't want to pay more for a better tool, or wants something compact.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: It's cheap and it works
Cons: Breaks easily.
Other: Does the same job as a pair of wire cutters but won't last nearly as long. I'd invest in a solid pair of wire cutters over one of these, or if you really want to buy this item maybe get a few because they will break.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: Great tool to cut and strip wires from any size and to patch racks. It is small, very light, quite handy to take or to put in your toolbox.
Cons: There are no cons, you can't even accidently cut your fingers with it :-)
Other: Finally making UTP or telephone cables is getting easier!
