Network USB 2.0 LPR Printer Server (10/100MBps Ethernet)

Pros: Okay i try do my best to describe it in english: The build quality is ok. The print server comes with an non-european power supply, so you have to use an adapter. But it works! (I use a router model Netgear WPN 824 with printer model Canon IP 4500. HP Deskjet 815C also works)

Cons: It was not easy to install the printer server. I thougt I only have to search for a local network printer, but Windows doesn't find any. After that I installed the software from the cd, but also this didn't help. You have to install the supplied server software on every client to install the printer. Now the print server works, but if you send a print order you get the message "The printer doesn't answer". So you won't be informated about the filling level of the cartridges.

Pros: Good product.
It works from first, when I connect it. I used it with Samsunf prinet ML-2240, which is not on the compatible list, but work very well, including all funtions. Software is ok and simple. hardware instalaltion is very straight, setup procedure is also very simple. Network USB server software is different, but with web manager can be handled very easy.

Cons: No europe power adapter plug, manual is different form software, but it can be used. maybe it will be useful to get the home page of the producer to get some support, firmware updates,..

Pros: I took a risk and bought the server to use with an unsupported printer. The risk paid off nicely as it indeed works with my Samsung CLP-300 laser printer just fine. I tried to be clever and configure the device myself, but after 30 minutes I just tried the supplied CD driver. That worked great. I have five computers on a WiFi network, and it works with all fine. Driver (actually an configuration wizard) needs to be run on each networked PC. I have Windows 7, XP SP3, Vista 64bit machines, all print fine.

Cons: Not sure if printer error messages will get back to the PC's, but don't really care if they don't, as the printer has status LED's for paper and toner anyway.

Other: Works on my 'unsupported' printer fine. Very slick installation software, not a bit Chinese looking. Would recommend to my mates...

É um acessório exelente, funcionou com minha hp 5550, o cd de intalação da suporte a xp, vista e o seven. A qualidade do produto é exelente e o preço é de 1/3 do valor nas lojas locais, tem fonte bi-volt 110-220 no padrao americano.

Other: Good quality, works fine,came with cables ENGLISH MANUAL, Works with Windows 7, come with cd, basic is only click forward in all steps.

Pros: + small in size + adds your printer to your home network + comes with a good manual and a nice looking driver software. + although it has one usb port, manual says it can support up to 4 usb devices. i haven't tried it though. + if your printer is not listed in the compatibility list, dont worry too much as it is most likely that it will be supported :)

Cons: - if you have a multi-function device(print,scan and copy) the scanner may not work at first. you may have to play with the drivers a few times. i have a Brother DCP-150C printer and i still couldnt work out the scanner bit. - usb print server utility detected my device but it couldnt connect due to lack of some drivers which was weird because i installed the driver from the provided cd and it works fine when you send your documents to printer either wired or over the air.

Other: if you want to share your printer at home without having a dedicated pc to run as a print server go for this device. its affordable and prints your documents over the air. but buy it at your own risk if you have a multi-function printer. (see cons section)

Pros: uickly installed, you can install with system drivers. Takes up little space. LEDs indicate operation. Supports a lot of modern printers and other devices.

Cons: Separate power, you need to plug in my already clogged and devices vartire plug the power supply. Device driver kit is not very intuitive. Lack of instruction in Russian.

Other: Good device, very useful for busy people who have houses and a network of many computers. Very nice when you no one asks to sit at your a computer, if he needs something to print.

Pros: The printed manual that accompanies the product is surprisingly complete. I never And well written in U.S. English. Not just a print server but is able to allow many USB peripherals can be used via LAN. Very well done. Easy to install.

Cons: There´s no wifi interface builtin.

Pros: Is very easy too install on windows laptops/computers etc. and works very wel!
I used it for my laptops wich we use in the livingroom and they both work on windows 7 one with proffesional and one with premium, we used too plug the printer in the usb port of the laptop but now we dont have too any more!

Cons: The cd with the drivers was damaged but I was stil able too copy the drivers too my documents and after 20 minutes of copying I was able too instal the drivers!
That was the only con!

Other: Great little usb printer server and when the cd wasnt damaged it was childs play too instal this on windows commputers/laptops etc.

Pros: Product works and is very cheap.
Very easy to install, it took to install the software that came on CD. The printer is recognized and installed on my computer.
I print on my samsung multifunction.

Cons: The big problem is that it takes too long to print, it takes at least 1-2 minutes for the printer starts printing. What bothers me a lot when you are printing more than one document. Imagine you want to print three slips, the printer takes 2 minutes to begin printing each, in total you will lose almost 10 minutes.

Other: If you need to share a printer without a large volume of prints can buy this product! If you want to share a multifunction printer or a more intense use would not recommend this product.
