NEW-898 Cree XR-E Q5 310LM 3-Mode LED Magnet Flashlight w/ Battery and Charger (1x14500 / 1xAA)

Pros: Bright and very practical with the magnet base, tilt head, hangar, clip. Doesn't appear to come apart, so not for the DIY'ers, but probably is pretty good for water resistance. Has a strong throw which is odd for a utility light like this, but still works well for car/shop work.

Cons: Gets hot fast on a 14500 on high! Button is stiff, hard to press. Lo is still pretty bright, so Lo is more practical for work use. Probably not 300 lumens of course, but it might be close on a 14500. Doesn't seem to last long on a charge, so a spare battery would help.

Other: Well worth it. Highly recommend it - I have maybe a dozen or so of budget lights and this is the 2nd most used behind my E09 key chain light.

Pros: L-shape, magnet base. Works very well, emits ridiculous amount of light. Magnet feels strong enough to hold the light in place.

Cons: When kept at full power with 14500 cell, the light will become very, very hot in just few minutes. Reflector head will be so hot, that you can't keep your finger on it. This is understandable and can be avoided using low mode (or AA cells).

Other: Very good all-around light. Versatile usage options due to hook, magnet, belt clip and strap band, not forgetting the adjustable head.
