NF-8208 Communication Cable/Wire Tone Tracker Combo with Carrying Pouch

Pros: Packaging - fair. Would benefit from a case that sealed as the cables could fall out the side Build quality - excellent; this unit is well put together, and looks every bit as good as a locally purchased unit. Accessories - comes with all the cables you need to get started. This unit even comes with a 9V battery for the remote unit! (note main unit requires 4xAA or equivalent, not included).

Cons: Manual is in Chinese, this is a bit of a pain. See other thoughts. Line tests to a maximum of 350M; some buildings may have longer cable lengths for telephone wiring etc.

Other: High quality unit for a great price. Note that the maximum testing length is 350M.

Pros: Has all the neccesary features - wiremap, length, shorts search, tone generator. And, of course, a great price! Forgot to mention - uses standart AA batteries, so no messing with 9v or 12v mini strangesize batteries on the field!

Cons: Had to wait a while, because this one went out of stock - still, dx guys managet to get one for me somehow.

Other: Buy it! If you need a device that does it all and don't mind to wait a bit- this is the place!

Pros: This instrument has elementary UTP cable tests and a great thing and that is measuring cable length and locating where the error in the cable is.

Cons: I'm very dissapointed about one thing and that's why I gave it 4 stars for quality. Wire tracking wasn't working on the main unit when you push the red button. I had to dissasemble the unit and found one inductor that was soldered badly. It was an easy fix but I had to dissasemble a new product and that isn't very nice.

Other: Very useful instrument, easy to use and a must have for every one who's involved with networks, IP video survailance or anything related with UTP cables.
